Indianapolis 79, #3 Michigan Tech 52 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
INDIANAPOLIS – Sydney Weinert had 15 points and nine rebounds in lifting Indianapolis to a 79-52 win over third-ranked Michigan Tech in women’s basketball contest on Saturday. Weinert was 5-for-8 from the field and UIndy (1-2) shot 55.1 percent from the field as a tea m. Kristin Turner scored a team-high 16 pionts and Kelly Walter added 13 points for the Greyhounds off the bench. UIndy, who will host Saginaw Valley State on Friday, outrebounded Michigan Tech 37-29.

Northern Kentucky 75, Salem International 19 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women’s basketball team rolled to a 75-19 win over visiting Salem International on Saturday afternoon. The Norse (2-0) limited Salem International to our first-half field goals in building a 36-10 halftime advantage and allowed just three buckets in the second half as they held the visitors to 17.5 percent shooting on the day. Eleven different players scored for the Norse including Casse Mogan who had 15 points and five rebounds. Kaitly Gerrety and Melody Doss added 11 and 10 points, respectively, off the bench.

#16 UW-Parkside 67, Saginaw Valley State 50 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

KENOSHA, Wis. – No. 16 Wisconsin-Parkside collected an in-regional victory over visiting Saginaw Valley State on Saturday afternoon, 67-50. Senior guard Jadee Rooney had 17 a team-high 17 points and connected on five three-point field goal attempts. Kaitlyn Bettiga had 16 points for the Rangers and Jenna Endisch added 11 points. The Rangers (2-1) will next host Trinity International on Tuesday.

Ashland 80, Kentucky Wesleyan 63 -  BOX SCORE | RECAP

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Kentucky Wesleyan’s women’s basketball team dropped its first game of the season in an 80-63 decision to visiting Ashland on Saturday. The Panthers (2-1) were outrebounded in the contest 41-31 and were able to connect on just 3-of-14 three-point attempts in the loss. Kristin Rowe led Kentucky Wesleyan with a team-high 12 points and seven rebounds. The Panthers will host North Alabama on Tuesday.

Lincoln 71, Illinois Springfield 63 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

SPRINGIELD, Ill. – Illinois Springfield dropped a non-conference home contest to Lincoln in a women’s basketball game on Saturday afternoon. The Prairie Stars (1-2) were led by Megan Bergerud in the loss who tallied 20 points on 7-of-16 shooting. Alyssa Palmer and Mallory Beck came off the bench to post 15 and 12 points, respectively. Beck finished with a double-double by adding 10 rebounds. UIS will next travel to Lindenwood on Tuesday.

Missouri-St. Louis 70, McKendree 62 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ST. LOUIS – Missouri-St. Louis held off McKendree on Saturday night, 70-62, in a women’s basketball non-conference contest. The Tritons (2-1) shot 44.1 percent from the field and overcame a 10-point first-half deficit. Caitly Moody led all scorers with 21 points and Devonna Smith notched a double-double for the Tritons with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kelly Carter also reached double-figures for the Tritons with 11 points. McKendree was led by Caty Ponce who had 16 points in the loss. UMSL will next host Christian Brothers on Saturday.

Arkansas-Ft. Smith 90, Saint Joseph’s 74 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

RENSELLAER, Ind. – The Saint Joseph’s women’s basketball team dropped a 90-74 decision to Arkansas Ft. Smith on Saturday night. The Pumas (2-1) suffered their first loss of the season by suffering a significant deficit on the boards. Saint Joseph’s was outrebounded 60-33 and surrendered 23 on the offensive side. Saint Joseph’s received 23 points and six rebounds from Montrell Mills in the loss and Tatiana Ortiz chipped in 16 points. Saint Joseph’s will next face Lake Superior State on Saturday.

Regis 64, Rockhurst 38 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

KANSAS CITY – Rockhurst dropped to 0-3 on the season with a 64-38 loss to Regis on Saturday. The Hawks shot 19.7 percent from the field by converting just 13-of-66 field goal attempts and committed 19 turnovers in the loss. Chrissy Sarcone tallied a team-high 12 points and six points to lead Rockhurst on the evening. Rockhurst will host Missouri Western on Tuesday.

Quincy 92, Culver-Stockton 76 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy cruised to a 92-76 win over Culver-Stockton on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Hawks (3-0) were led by Ali Schwagmeyer who posted 19 points and seven rebounds. She hit 8-of-14 field goal attempts as Quincy shot 46.7 percent as a team. Karlee Gengenbacher added 17 points and eight rebounds and Linsay Henke posted 14 poings and nine rebounds. Lucy Cramsey came off the bench to add 18 points and five assists. Quincy will next travel to Truman State on Tuesday.

William Jewell 65, William Penn 53 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

MARYVILLE, Mo. – William Jewell completed a sweep of a pair of non-conference opponents this weekend with a 65-53 win over William Penn. The Cardinals moved to 3-0 on the season as Nicolay Cassy led the way with 18 poings and 13 rebounds. Aerial Smith chipped in 13 points, five steals and four rebounds. William Jewell, which outrebounded William Penn 38-32 on the evening, sealed the win in the second half by converting all 14 free throw attempts. The Cardinals will host Central Christian on Tuesday.
