HOUGHTON, Mich. – Colt Grandstaff canned a three-pointer as time expired on Tuesday night to lift Wisconsin-Parkside to a 73-72 win at Michigan Tech in Midwest regional contest. The Rangers, who rallied from 12 points behind to secure the win, moved to 4-0 on the season. Grandstaff finished with 10 points off the bench for the Rangers. Jeremy Saffold, Conrad Krutwig and Jordan led a well-balanced UW-Parkside offense as all three posted 15 points on the evening. The Rangers shot 44.1 percent from the field and forced the Huskies into 21 turnovers. They will next travel to Ferris State on Saturday.
ROLLA, Mo. – Tommy Pelczynski hit six three-pointers and finished with a game-high 20 points to lead Missouri S&T to a 79-62 win over visiting William Woods on Tuesday night. Pelczynski was 7-for-12 from the field on the night and also added five rebounds, four assists and two steals. The Miners shot 57.1 percent from the field in the second half to pull away from the visitors. Bryce Foster added 13 points and seven rebounds and Curtis Okafor offered 10 points and seven rebounds off the bench. S&T (1-4) will next travel to Southwest Baptist on Monday.
Maryville 66, Oakland City 63 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – Maryville moved to 3-0 on the season with a 66-63 in-region victory at Oakland City on Tuesday. The Saints shot 53.7 percent for the game and Tyler Waite led a balanced offensive attack off the bench with a team-high 12 points. Corey Washburn added 11 points in a reserve role as the Saints bench contributed 34 points in all on the evening. Maryville will next travel to Missouri S&T for the GLVC opener on Dec. 1.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Southern Indiana led from start to finish on Tuesday night in a comfortable 82-42 win over visiting Brescia in men’s basketball non-conference action. The Eagles (2-0) were led by Melvyn Little who had a game-high 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting. Taylor Wischmeier chipped in 12 points and all 10 Eagles who saw action on the night found the scoring column. USI shot 50.7 percent from the field and was 10-of-24 from beyond the arc. The Eagles will next host Malone on Friday.
LIBERTY, Mo. – William Jewell cruised past Baptist Bible College on Tuesday night in a non-conference men’s basketball contest, 118-43. The Cardinals were led by Mark Mason who had 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting. Four other William Jewell players reached double figures on the night including Cyril Bilong who posted 17 points and eight rebounds and Nick Larson who finished with 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting. The Cardinals (2-2) shot 56 percent from the field as a team and will next face Quincy at home on Thursday.
Lewis 94, Trinity International 52 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis defeated visiting Trinity International in a non-conference men’s basketball game on Tuesday night in Neil Carey Arena, 94-52. The Flyers (3-0) were paced by Matt Toth who tallied a game-high 19 points and 7-of-11 shooting. Chris McClellan added 15 points and six assists and Julian Lewis finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and six assists on the night. Lewis outrebounded the visitors 42-27 and forced 17 turnovers. The Flyers will host Hillsdale in an in-region contest on Saturday.
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Quincy men’s basketball team picked up a key regional road win on Tuesday with an 81-74 win over host Truman State. Senior Justin Brock posted a game-high 29 points on 8-of-11 shooting and added eight rebounds for the Hawks. Ryan Stuckman added 13 points off the bencha and Courtney Belger and Marshawn Norris each chipped in 11 points. Quincy (3-0), which converted 24-of-31 free throw attempts in the ballgame, will next host Central Missouri on Saturday.

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Senior forward Anthony Young recorded his second straight double-double by pouring in 31 points and adding 11 rebounds as Kentucky Wesleyan defeated Hiwassee, 115-73. Young finished the contest 8-for-18 from the field and 12-for-13 at the free throw line. Cardell McFarland added 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Panthers. He was 8-for-10 from the field and 7-for-7 at the free throw line. Kentucky Wesleyan (2-0) converted 38 -of-46 free throws during the game. The Panthers will next host Clark Atlanta on Friday.

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Rockhurst dropped a road game on Tuesday night in men’s basketball action, falling at Central Missouri, 86-72. The Hawks (0-3) were led by Marin Roper II who scored 16 points off the bench. Brandon McCann added 14 points and James Robinson chipped in 12 points for Rockhurst. The Hawks will host East Central and Avila in their first home games of the season this weekend.
