Saint Joseph’s 81, Northern Michigan 76 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

INDIANAPOLIS – The Saint Joseph’s men’s basketball team collected an in-region victory over Northern Michigan on Friday afternoon, 81-76, at UIndy’s Nicoson Hall. The Pumas (2-1) forced Northern Michigan into 28 turnovers and rallied from an 11-point first-half deficit to secure their second straight win. Dayvon Sloan led Saint Joseph’s with 20 points and eight assists. Ryan Rebholz came off the bench to add 12 points and four rebounds. Saint Joseph’s will turn around and face Lake Superior State tomorrow afternoon.

Lake Superior State 64, Indianapolis 62 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis lost for the first time this season as the Greyhounds fell to visiting Lake Superior State on Friday afternoon, 64-62. The Greyhounds shot just 33.3 percent from the field on the day and were outrebounded 49-40. Adrian Moss led UIndy (3-1) with a game-high 23 points and he added eight assists. Mikel Brigham provided a big spark off the bench by posting a double-double with 19 points and a game-high 15 rebounds. UIndy will return to action on Saturday against Northern Michigan.

Rockhurst 64, East Central 59 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

KANSAS CITY – Behind 21 points from guard Brandon McCann, the Rockhurst men’s basketball team picked up its first win of the season with a 64-59 win over East Central. McCann was 8-for-14 from the field and connected on 4-of-8 three-point field goal attempts. The Hawks (1-3) shot 44.4 percent from the field and never relinquished the lead. Kareem Amedu added 10 points and Martin Roper II chipped in eight points and a team-high eight rebounds.  Rockhurst will next host Avila tomorrow afternoon.

Drury 97, Salem International 68 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury rolled to a 97-68 win over visiting Salem International on Friday night in men’s basketball action. The Panthers (3-1) were led by Alex Hall who scored 22 points and had seven assists. Hall was 4-for-6 from the three-point line and a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line. Dennon Mitchell chipped in 14 points, Ian Carter added 13 on a perfect 5-for-5 effort from the field and Derek Daniels had 11 points.  Drury shot 63.8 percent from the field in the win, including 13-for-24 from behind the arc. The Panthers will host Wayne State tomorrow night.

#1 Bellarmine 79, IU-Southeast 69 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Top-ranked Bellarmine moved to 4-0 on the season with a 79-69 win over Indiana-Southeast in non-conference men’s basketball contest on Friday night. The Knights were paced by junior guard Jeremy Kendle who tallied 25 points on 10-for-13 shooting. Braydon Hobbs added 19 points as the duo combined to connect on 8-of-10 three-point field goal attempts. Bellarmine shot 58.7 percent from the field as a team. Bellarmine will meet Malone in a regional match-up on Saturday.

#15 Kentucky Wesleyan 98, Clark Atlanta 57 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Cardell McFarland poured in 28 points and Dominique Dawson added 25 points and eight rebounds to help lead No. 15 Kentucky Wesleyan to a 98-57 win over visiting Clark Atlanta on Friday night. McFarland was 10-for-13 from the field and added four assists, while Dawson was 11-for-13 on the night. Senior Anthony Young posted his third straight double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds and the Panthers finished the night shooting 58.5 percent from the field. Kentucky Wesleyan (3-0) will conclude weekend action with a home game against Bloomfield on Saturday.

#12 Southern Indiana 83, Malone 47 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Southern Indiana rolled to an 83-47 win over visiting Malone on Friday night in a non-conference in-region men’s basketball contest. The 12th-ranked Eagles (3-0) dominated the boards, finishing with a 47-19 edge and forced Malone into 18 turnovers.   Four USI players reached double figures on the night, including Taylor Wischmeier who finished with a game-high 19 points and seven rebounds. Brandon Hogg added 15 points for the Eagles and Travis Jones and Austin Davis each contributed 10 points in reserve roles. USI will return to action at home against Indiana-Southeast on Saturday.

Bloomfield 72, Missouri-St. Louis 63 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Missouri-St. Louis dropped a non-conference game against Bloomfield on Friday night, 72-63. The Tritons (1-3) were led in the loss by Troy Long who had a team-high 17 points, including five three-pointers. Isiah Nunn added 14 points and seven rebounds. UMSL will return on Saturday to face Clark Atlanta.
