INDIANAPOLIS – Saint Joseph’s pulled out a 99-92 win over Lake Superior State in double overtime at UIndy’s Nicoson Hall on Saturday afternoon. Phillip Collins finished with a team-high 23 points for the Pumas and connected on a free throw with one second to play in the first overtime period to force the second extra period. Colins was 8-for-19 from the field and added nine rebounds and five assists. Corey Clifton added 18 points off the bench and Dayvon Sloan chipped in 14 points and five rebounds. Saint Joseph’s (3-1) will host Northern Kentucky on Thursday.
#1 Bellarmine 87, Malone 40 – BOX SCORE| RECAP
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Luke Sprague poste 17 points to lead top-ranked Bellarmine to a comfortable 87-40 win over Malone on Saturday afternoon. Sprague was 5-for-8 from the field and added five rebounds in the win. Richie Phares added 15 points and five steals and Jeremy Kendle chipped in 13 points and four steals. Bellarmine shot 52.6 percent from the field and limited Malone to a 14-for-60 effort shooting. Bellarmine (5-0) will open league play at Indianapolis on Thursday night.
Quincy 76, Central Missouri 71 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
QUINCY, Ill. – The Quincy men’s basketball team claimed a battle of unbeaten on Saturday afternoon with a 76-71 win over visiting Central Missouri. Marshawn Norris scored 22 points and Justin Brock added 14 points, nine rebounds and seven rebounds for the Hawks who move to 4-0 on the season. Norris was 8-for-15 from the field and 6-for-10 from behind the three-point line. Quincy will head to William Jewell on Thursday for the GLVC opener with the Cardinals.
Ferris State 70, Wisconsin-Parkside 65 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Wisconsin-Parkside fell for the first time this season in a 70-65 loss at Ferris State on Saturday. The Rangers (4-1) received 17 points from Leneal Harris and Jeremy Saffold added 12 points by canning 4-of-7 behind the three-point arc. Ziggy Riauka chipped in 11 points off the bench for the Rangers who had their season-opening win streak stopped at four. The Rangers will host No. 15 Kentucky Wesleyan in their next game on Thursday.

INDIANAPOLIS – Adrian Moss exploded for 32 points as Indianapolis rebounded from its first loss of the season with an 80-64 win over Northern Michigan on Saturday afternoon. Moss finished 8-for-16 from the field and hit all 14 free throw attempts in addition to dishing out seven assists and grabbing three rebounds. The Greyhounds (4-1) also received 14 points off the bench from Wilbur O’Neal and 11 points from Reece Cheatham. UIndy will next host top-ranked Bellarmine on Thursday.

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis men’s basketball team posted a key in-region victory on Saturday afternoon with a 62-52 decision over Hillsdale. The Flyers (4-0) remained unbeaten on the season as Matt Toth tallied 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting and Julian Lewis chipped in 14 points. Toth added seven rebounds on the night as the Flyers outrebounded Hillsdale, 37-28. Chris McLellan assisted in the winning effort by contributing 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. Lewis will host No. 12 Southern Indiana in conference action on Thursday.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Brandon Hogg took over in overtime on Saturday evening to help No. 12 Southern Indiana pull out an 80-74 win over visiting Indiana-Southeast. Hogg scored 12 of his game-high 26 points in the extra session to will the Eagles to the win. He added 11 rebounds to finish with a double-double on the day. Lawrence Thomas added 25 points for USI (4-0) and Romaric Lasme chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds. The Eagles will travel to Lewis on Thursday for their GLVC opener.
Rockhurst 80, Avila 76 (2OT) – BOX SCORE | RECAP
KANSAS CITY – The Rockhurst men’s basketball team outlasted visiting Avila on Saturday, 80-78, in double overtime. The Hawks (2-3) were led by Brandon McCann who finished with a game-high 25 points. Najja Nicholson and Kareem Ameedu each posted 11 points and James Robinson tallied 14 points off the bench, including two free throws with three seconds remaining in the second overtime to ice the contest. Rockhurst will welcome Illinois Springfield for its GLVC opener on Thursday.
Wayne State 61, Drury 51 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury dropped a home game to Wayne state on Saturday night, 61-51. The Panthers (3-2) were led by Alex Hall who finished with 18 points and six rebounds. Dennon Mitchell added 15 points off the bench. Drury shot 35.4 percent from the field and converted just 5-of-20 three-point attempts. The Panthers were outrebounded 41-28. The Panthers will open conference play against visiting Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday.

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Missouri-St. Louis picked up a victory over Clark Atlanta on Saturday night in Owensboro. The Tritons (2-3) shot 58 percent from the field on the evening including an 8-for-14 effort from the three-point line. Troy Long led UMSL with 24 points and connected on 5-of-6 three-point attempts. Isiah Nunn added 15 points and Joshua McCoy posted 13 points. UMSL will return to action at Drury on Thursday.

OWENSBORO, Ky. – No. 15 Kentucky Wesleyan rallied from an early deficit on Saturday to defeat visiting Bloomfield, 99-85. Senior forward Anthony Young secured a double-double in the victory by posting 28 points and 13 rebounds. He was one of five Panthers in double figures on the night, including Brandon Johnson who posted 18 points and Cardell McFarland who added 15 points. Kentucky Wesleyan (4-0) will next travel to Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday.
