Kentucky Wesleyan wins ninth straight with defeat of Salem International

OWENSBORO, Ky.- The No. 4 Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers moved to 9-0 on the season with a 104-78 win over visiting Salem International in non-league action from the Sportscenter Thursday night.

Cardell McFarland poured in a game-high 26 points to lead the Panthers to the win. McFarland was one of five KWC players to score in double figures, as Brandon Johnson added 18 points. Cornbread Walker chipped in 13 points, while both Dominique Dawson and Marseilles Stewert each had 11 points on the night.

The Panthers shot 60 percent from the floor in the win, while Salem International shot at a 41 percent clip. KWC out-rebounded the visitors 38-26 in the contest.

Next up for Kentucky Wesleyan, which is in the midst of a six-game homestand, is a Dec. 30 meeting with Lindsey Wilson at the Sportscenter.
