Quincy, Ill.- The Quincy men’s basketball team rebounded after last night’s loss to defeat Central Oklahoma in the second and final game of their home tournament. The Quincy squad came from behind in the first half and tallied 78 total points en route to their final victory of 2011. Quincy shot 23-for-45 (51.1%) from the field including seven buckets from behind the arc. Three Quincy players reached double figures in scoring on the afternoon. Ryan Stuckman led the Hawks with 19 points while Justin Brock banked 18 points, and Courtney Belgan added 10 for the Hawks. The Quincy team will face off against Saint Joseph’s on January 5.

 

 

Romeoville, Ill.- The Lewis men’s basketball team enter the 2012 season on a high note with a regional win over Wayne State on Saturday afternoon. The Flyers shot 36 percent from the floor and collected 38 rebounds en route to the win. Julian Lewis led the way for the Lewis squad with 14 points. He also contributed seven rebounds. David Bryant also hit double figures as he added 11 points. The Flyers will resume their conference schedule after the New Year against Maryville on January 5.
