Saint Joseph’s 67, Ferris State 65 – BOX SCORE  | RECAP

Big Rapids, Mich.- The Saint Joseph’s women’s basketball team ended 2011 with a regional road win against Ferris State on Saturday afternoon. Senior guard Britney Cruse tallied 20 points en route to the Puma victory. Cruse also had three rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Tatiana Ortiz and Breanna Birmingham also reached double digits in scoring combining for 22 points. The Saint Joseph’s squad will open the New Year with a conference matchup against Quincy on January 5.
 
Quincy 65, St. Edward’s 62 – BOX SCORE  | RECAP
 
AUSTIN-The Quincy women’s basketball team turned around after last night’s loss to Northeastern to defeat St. Edward’s by a three point margin. Despite shooting 23-for-61  from the floor, the Hawks led with 44 rebounds on the night. The Quincy squad had four players reach double figures in points. Karlee Gengenbacher led with 14 on the night. She also tallied four rebounds and two assists. Kassidy Shuman, Linsay Henke, and Daryle Goldie added 13 points each. Quincy (7-3) will begin 2012 with a conference matchup against Saint Joseph’s on January 5.
