ROLLA, Mo.- Missouri S&T swept a GLVC softball doubleheader from Quincy Saturday in dramatic fashion, with game two setting a record for the longest played between two GLVC teams. The Miners took game one 3-0 and then took game two 4-3 in 17 innings. The game is the second-longest involving just one conference team, and is the second-longest in Missouri S&T history. Torie Bunzell, the losing pitcher for Quincy, tallied 23 strikeouts in the setback, and became just the fourth player in GLVC history to throw at least 20 strikeouts in a contest. The 23 Ks was a career-high for Bunzell, and ties the Division II record for strikeouts in a game.
