SOMERS, Wis. - With a pair of wins over UW-Parkside on Tuesday, Lewis secured the No. 5 seed for the upcoming GLVC Baseball Tournament. The Flyers (23-16) finished the conference season with a 16-12 mark which was good for third place in the GLVC East. They will face No. 4 seed Quincy in the first round of the GLVC Tournament on Thursday at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Ill.
Lewis and Quincy (31-17) will meet at Noon on Thursday with the top overall seed Southern Indiana (34-15) meeting No. 8 seed Rockhurst (23-24) in the 3:30 p.m. contest at GCS.
The bottom half of the GLVC Tournament bracket will be played at UMSL Baseball Field beginning on Thursday. Missouri S&T (28-15), the No. 2 seed, will face No. 7 seed Bellarmine (26-24) on Thursday at 12:30 p.m., while No. 3 seed Northern Kentucky (31-18) will face No. 6 seed Drury in the first game of the tournament at 9 a.m.
