Quincy at Annual Art Peterson Invite: QU Recap
MACOMB-The Quincy Men’s tennis team competed at the Annual Art Peterson Invite hosted by Western Illinois University on Friday and Saturday. The event was comprised of a mix of Division I and II schools. Quincy's No. 5 John Moskal and No. 7 Eathan Arns each earned victories over their Wisconsin-Whitewater opponents in third set tiebreakers. No. 6 singles player Dan Martin also recorded a victory over Lewis's Heinfelder. The Quincy squad will compete again Lewis and Clark Community College on Sept. 15.

Missouri-St. Louis at Annual Art Peterson Invite: UMSL Recap
MACOMB-The Missouri-St. Louis squad also competed in the Annual Art Peterson tournament in Macomb. The Titans No. 6 singles player, Karl Antwiadjei earned two victories over Quincy’s Austin Brown and Dan Martin. In doubles the freshman duo of Marian Schumacher and Nils Mueggenburg sealed an 8-5 victory over Quincy’s No. 1 doubles team. The UMSL No. 3 doubles pairing of Sophomore Tim Gorter and junior Karl Antwiadjei also posted a win over Quincy in their respective bracket. The Titans will return to action on Sept. 16 at Washington University Invite.
 
Lewis at Annual Art Peterson Invite:  LU Recap
MACOMB-The Lewis men’s tennis team competed at the Annual Art Peterson Invite this weekend. The event was hosted by Western Illinois University. Friday’s play featured singles action, where Lewis earned a second place finish by senior Uno Lapimaa, a fourth place finish by junior Jesse Hardacre, and a third place finish by John Richert in their respective brackets. In doubles, the Lewis squad received a runner-up finish in the No. 1 doubles bracket from Lapimaa and junior Brandon Tilton. Jesse Hardacre and John Richert placed third in their respective bracket, while brothers Matt and Nick Heidenfelder won the backdraw in the No. 3 bracket. The Flyers will return to action on Friday, Sept. 16 at the Bradley Invitational in Peoria, Illinois.

William Jewell at Missouri Valley Tournament: Full Results| WJC Recap
MARSHALL-The William Jewell men’s tennis team traveled to Marshall, Missouri to compete against several Heart of America Conference teams. The Cardinals dominated the tournament winning six of the eight singles brackets and three of the four doubles brackets at the tournament. Sophomore Shane Gianetti won the tournament at the No. singles spot while Bryan Thomas, Eric Dailey, Max Cooper, Jimmy Hunter, Chris Reimer won the 4,5,6, and 7 singles brackets. In doubles action the Cardinals earned titles from junior Bronson Brassel and sophomore Max Cooper in the No. 2 doubles flight, Reimer and Hunter in the No. 3 slot and freshmen Eric Dailey and Will Gross to win at the No. 4 position
 
Rockhurst at Washburn Invitational: Full Results| RU Recap
TOPEKA-The Rockhurst men’s tennis teams traveled to Topeka, Kansas to compete in the Washburn Invitational this weekend. The Hawks had two singles players in the final of their respective draws. In the A flight, junior Rodolfo Gauto-Mariotti advanced to the championship match before falling to Northwest Missouri State’s Calvin Patterson. In the B flight Victor Klintcharov captured the title in a third set tiebreak. In doubles, Gauto-Mariotti and teammate Pawel Grzegrzolka partnered up to win the championship defeating Northwest Missouri State’s No. team. The Hawks will return to action again at home on Sept. 14 against Johnson County Community College.
 
 
Indianapolis at DePauw Invite: Full Results| INDY Recap
GREENCASTLE-The Indianapolis Greyhounds traveled to Greenwood, Indiana to compete in the Depauw Invite. The tournament consisted of a grueling format in which both doubles and singles matches were best out of three sets and players were guaranteed four matches between singles and doubles action. In singles, Trevor Cox, Alex Poe, and Preston Swain reached the semifinals of the No. 1, 3, and 6 singles brackets respectively. The Greyhounds finished 6-3 in doubles action at the tournament.
