Missouri-St. Louis 3, Maryville 0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-22)

ST. LOUIS – Behind 13 kills from Erin Higgins and 12 kills from Weslie Gaff, Missouri-St. Louis captured a 3-0 victory over Maryville, 25-14, 25-10, 25-22. The Tritons (5-2, 2-1) hit .238 as a team, which included Higgins attacking at a .429 clip and Gaff posting a match-best .625 hitting percentage. Alisha Skaggs added 18 digs for the Tritons in the win, while Anna McNulty guided the offense with 38 assists. UMSL will travel to Quincy on Friday, while Maryville (3-2, 1-2) visits Illinois Springfield.  

Southern Indiana 3, Kentucky Wesleyan 0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-20)

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Southern Indiana maintained a perfect league record by moving to 3-0 against GLVC opponents with a 3-0 win over host Kentucky Wesleyan on Tuesday. The Eagles (5-2) posted a .345 team hitting percentage and were led by senior Danielle LaGrange who notched 10 kills on a blistering .769 hitting percentage. Jorae Bradbury completed a double-double with 27 assists and 10 kills for USI. KWC (3-7, 0-3) was paced by Bridget Johnson who had 11 kills. USI next hosts Bellarmine on Friday. KWC will look to pick up its first leage win against visiting Northern Kentucky.

Northern Kentucky 3, Bellarmine 0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-17)

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – No. 14 Northern Kentucky remained unbeaten on the season with a sweep of visiting Bellarmine on Tuesday. The Norse were led by senior Kim Nemcek who finished with 11 kills and five digs, including a .556 hitting percentage. Shelby Buscher added 10 kills while hitting at a .444 clip and Jenna Schreiver pitched in 32 assists. Bellarmine (5-2, 1-2) was led by sophomore Krista Gibson who tallied 10 kills. NKU (8-0, 3-0) will next host Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday, while Bellarmine travels to Southern Indiana.

Quincy 3, Illinois Springfield 0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-15)

QUINCY, Ill. – Host Quincy knocked off Illinois Springfield in GLVC action on Tuesday night, 25-19, 25-23, 25-15. The Lady Hawks (3-4, 1-2) were led by Briann Joslin who posted 13 kills on a .684 hitting percentage and nine blocks. Lyndsay Kooi had 33 assists, three assists and four digs, while Damaris Linker posted 12 digs. Illinois Springfield (0-8, 0-3) was led by Sam Krilich who had seven kills and Rebeka Pruemer who added 19 assists. Quincy next faces Missouri-St. Louis at home on Friday. Illinois Springfield will host Maryville.

Indianapolis 3, Saint Joseph’s 0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-11)

RENSSELAER, Ind. – Indianapolis moved to 2-1 in the GLVC with a sweep of host Saint Joseph’s on Tuesday. In the victory, Kristina Hefferan finished with 13 kills by hitting at a .500 clip and Kristina Kerrigan added 12 kills. Setter Meghan Binkerd averaged double-digit assists per set (11.00) by tallying 33 during the match and Amy Oldenburg added 17 digs. Saint Joseph’s (5-4, 0-3) was led by Sharon Freund who tallied 11 kills. Indianapolis will next host No. 17 Lewis on Friday and Saint Joseph’s will welcome UW-Parkside.

UW-Parkside 3, No. 17 Lewis 2 (21-25, 25-22, 22-25, 26-24, 15-11)

SOMERS, Wis. – UW-Parkside upset No. 17 Lewis in a GLVC volleyball match on Tuesday night. The Rangers trailed 2-1 heading into the fourth set before pulling out a 26-24 decision in the fourth set and closing the match with a 15-11 win in the deciding set. Caroline Langer posted a match-high 19 kills and 14 digs and Bridget Nickel added 18 kills and 11 digs in the victory. Jen Krumwiede led Lewis with 19 kills and Leigh Barea posted a match-high 61 assists. UW-Parkside (3-5, 2-1) will next travel to Saint Joseph’s on Friday, while Lewis will visit Indianapolis.

Missouri S&T 3, Drury 2 (23-25, 25-16, 24-26, 25-20, 15-13)

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A block by Jackie Zellmer and Hayley Wright gave Missouri S&T the final point in a 15-13 win in the deciding set on Tuesday night in the Miners’ 3-2 victory at Drury. The final point iced a back and forth affair and a tight fifth and deciding set. Five Miners reached double digits in kills on the evening, including Zellmer and Wright who finished with 12 and 10 respectively. Kit Spears and Erin Bekebrede led S&T with 13 kills apiece. Bekebrede finished with a double-double as she added 13 digs and Melanie Shehorn added 11 kills and 11 blocks. Drury (6-2, 2-1) was led by Sara Borneman who had 25 kills. S&T (5-3) moved to 3-0 and in to sole possession of first place in the GLVC with the win. The Miners will next visit Rockhurst on Friday. Drury will next visit William Jewell.

William Jewell 3, Rockhurst 2 (17-25, 25-16, 25-22, 19-25, 15-11)

LIBERTY, Mo. - William Jewell posted a 3-2 win over Rockhurst in GLVC action on Tuesday. The Cardinals were led by Regan Sirbaugh who had 12 kills and Morgan Sleeper who psoted 11 kills and 10 digs. Cailynn Hayter led the Cardinals attack with 44 assists and Katie Dagmar notched 28 digs. Rockhurst was paced by Maggie McGovern who had 12 kills in the loss. WJC (5-2, 2-1) will next host Drury, while Rockhurst (3-5, 1-2) hosts Missouri S&T on Friday.
