No. 1 Northern Kentucky 1, Rockhurst 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The only goal tallied in a matchup between top-ranked Northern Kentucky and Rockhurst proved to be an own goal by Rockhurst just five minutes into the contest to give NKU a 1-0 decision. The Norse received the game-winner as a Rockhurst defender headed the ball into his own goal off a throw-in. Sanjit Kang earned the victory in goal for the Norse by making three saves. Rockhurst goalkeeper Ryan Bass had five saves in the loss. NKU (6-0, 4-0) will next travel to Drury on Friday, while Rockhurst (3-2, 2-2) is scheduled to play host to Southern Indiana on Friday.

Bellarmine 5, William Jewell 2 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine rallied from a 2-1 deficit and scored three times in the second half to pull away from visiting William Jewell and earn a 5-2 win on Sunday afternoon. The Knights ( 4-2, 3-1) opened the scoring early as Dan Schiavi scored from five yards out in the second minute of the game. Back-to-back goals by William Jewell’s Forrest McCurren would give William Jewell the lead, but Bellarmine answered before the break behind a Jack Binns goal in the 45th minute on a penalty kick. Jordan Beckles scored the game-winner for Bellarmine in the 54th minute and Connor Brehm added a pair of insurance goals. Bellarmine will visit Missouri S&T on Friday and William Jewell (2-2, 1-2) will next host Lindenwood on Wednesday.

Missouri S&T 3, Kentucky Wesleyan 2 (OT) – BOX SCORE | RECAP

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Missouri S&T rallied late to pull out a road victory at Kentucky Wesleyan on Sunday, 3-2, in overtime. Trailing 2-1 with under a minute to play in regulation, Spencer Brinkmeyer knotted the score to force an overtime session by converting an assist by Kramer Hall. Peter Vaccaro provided the game-winner in the first overtime session on an assist by Trent Doerner. It was the second goal of the afternoon for Vaccaro as he had also put the Miners on the board in the third minute of the match. A pair of Takis Agisiliou gave Kentucky Wesleyan the advantage in until the waning seconds of the match. S&T (5-1, 3-1) will host Bellarmine on Friday and Kentucky Wesleyan (2-4, 0-4) will head to William Jewell.

UW-Parkside 1, Illinois Springfield 1 (2 OT) – BOX SCORE | RECAP

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Goalkeeper Jack Turnanchik came out of goal late in the game to head in a Nikita Fadeev corner kick with just 12 seconds to play in regulation on Sunday to push Illinois Springfield to a 1-1 tie against visiting UW-Parkside. UW-Parkside (3-2-1, 1-2-1) held a 1-0 advantage for most of the contest as Tim Thao scored the first goal of the match in the 10th minute on an assist from Spencer Bursten. The two teams will battle through two overtimes without a goal after Turnanchik’s late game heroics. Turnanchik, in addition to the goal, also had five saves for the Prairie Stars. UIS (0-4-1, 0-3-1) will next travel to Indianapolis on Friday, while UW-Parkside hosts Missouri-St. Louis.

Quincy 4, Lewis 1 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy scored two goals in the first ten minutes of its match against visiting Lewis on Sunday en route to a 4-1 victory in league play. Jordan Roberts scored an unassisted goal in the sixth minute to open the scoring and Grant Ellison tallied the eventual game-winner on a penalty kick in the 10th minute. Lewis pulled within one goal as Robert McGowan recorded the Flyers’ lone score. Jeff Vaninger added a goal in the 83rd minute on an Ellison assist and Ellison added a second goal in the 89th minute to complete the scoring. Quincy (4-1-1, 3-0-1) will visit Saint Joseph’s on Friday, while Lewis (2-4, 2-2) hosts Maryville.

Saint Joseph’s 1, Maryville 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ST. LOUIS – Corey Lesure posted an unassisted goal in the 59th minute to give visiting Saint Joseph’s a 1-0 win over Maryville on Sunday afternoon. The Pumas’ Michael Korman notched three saves to earn the shutout against the Saints. Maryville’s Michael Flatley had five saves in goal in the losing effort. Saint Joseph’s (2-3-1, 2-1-1) will host Quincy on Friday. Maryville (2-4-1, 1-3-0) will next visit Lewis on Friday.

Drury 1, Southern Indiana 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Matt Hutchison scored in the fifth minute on Sunday afternoon to lift Drury to a 1-0 road win at Southern Indiana in GLVC men’s soccer action. Hutchison scored on a Jack Mathis assist to provide the game-winning goal. Goalkeeper Stephen Conner made two saves to lead the Drury defense on the day. Ben Dempsey recorded six saves for Southern Indiana on the afternoon. Drury (5-2, 3-1) is slated to host Northern Kentucky on Friday. Southern Indiana (1-5, 0-4) will travel to Rockhurst on Friday.
