KIRKSVILLE-The Quincy women’s tennis team participated in round robin style play at the Truman State tournament this past weekend. The round robin event was divided into four different singles flights and included Northwest Missouri State, Truman State, Johnson County Community College and Quincy University. Quincy’s Allie Callahan took third in flight two of the tournament.

ST. LOUIS-The Missouri-St. Louis women’s tennis team participated in a round robin style tournament hosted by Washington University this weekend. The tournament consisted of fellow St. Louis collegiate squads Washington University and Lindenwood University. Louisa Werner won both of her matches in the A singles bracket before rain interfered with the final match.
KEARNEY: The William Jewell women’s tennis team made a statement in their first year of Division II competition as they competed in the ITA in Kearney, Nebraska. The Cardinals doubles due of freshman Katy Lehenbauer and sophomore Paula Peters won the tournament and qualified for the national tournament in Mobile, Alabama. Peters also advanced to the semifinal of the tournament in singles before losing to the eventual champion.
INDIANAPOLIS-Drury also participated in the Indianapolis ITA. All of the team’s entered singles participants won their first round matches, with Jelena Schaeftlmeier advancing to the round 16 in the tournament. In doubles, the duo of Gamo and Miranzo advanced to the quarterfinals of the main draw.
Rockhurst at ITA Tournament: RU Recap
INDIANAPOLIS: The Rockhurst women’s team participated in the ITA tournament in Indianapolis. Senior Maureen Riley advanced to the quarterfinals of the main draw before falling to her Northwood University opponent. The Rockhurst squad also dominated the consolation bracket placing two singles players in the final as well as advancing three doubles teams to the semifinals of the bracket.
INDIANAPOLIS: The Lewis Flyers dominated the Indianapolis ITA. The duo of Kranczicki and Lanstiak won the doubles tournament qualifying for the national tournament in October. The pair defated Ohio Dominican in the final. Kranczicki and Lanstiak also both advanced to the final of the singles draw and will battle each other in Romeoville on Tuesday to earn a berth to the national tournament in singles.
INDIANAPOLIS-The Greyhounds had no players advance in the main draw after Friday’s matches, but after losing a first round match, Taylor Eckert won the consolation singles bracket for the Greyhounds. The doubles duo of seniors Maggie Ashby and Alena Perez-Majul won their first round match in doubles before falling to the Drury team of Gamo and Miranzo.
Southern Indiana at ITA Tournament: USI Recap
INDIANAPOLIS: The Southern Indiana women’s tennis team traveled to Indianapolis to compete in the ITA event as well. Lindsey White advanced to the round of 16 in the backdraw of the tournament before losing to Indianapolis’s Kelsey Matthews.
INDIANAPOLIS-The Bellarmine squad also competed in the Indianapolis ITA this weekend. In singles, Rebecca Porter advanced to the round of 16 before falling to Kate Zhukoven of Northwood who took out the defending champion in the tournament. Porter then teamed up with Claeys to win two matches in the backdraw of the tournament after dropping their opening match to a Wayne State duo.
