SOMERS, Wis. – For the second straight time at home, UW-Parkside recorded an upset over a top 25 team as the Rangers topped No. 12 Northern Kentucky in five sets on Friday night. The Rangers (5-6, 4-2) outlasted the Norse and took the deciding set, 19-17, after a back and forth affair. Courtney Stack and Cayla Flood paced the Rangers’ balanced attack by recording 24 and 23 assists, respectively. Bridget Nickel led four UW-Parkside players in double-digit kills with 13 and she also added 16 digs. NKU (10-1, 5-1) was led by Jenna Schreiver who had 59 assists and Kim Nemcek who finished with 17 kills. UW-Parkside will next host Bellarmine on Saturday, while NKU travels to Lewis.
Saint Joseph’s 3, Kentucky Wesleyan 1 (25-19, 25-12, 22-25, 25-16)

RENSSELAER, Ind. – Saint Joseph’s picked up its first league win of the season and evened its overall record at 6-6 with a 3-1 win over Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday night. The Pumas, who moved to 1-5 in the GLVC, received a match-high 20 kills from Sharon Freund. She hit at a .436 clip and added 11 digs. Setter Erin Brocker paced the Pumas’ attack with 42 assists. Bridget Johnson had 11 kills and 12 digs for the Panthers in the loss. Saint Joseph’s will welcome Southern Indiana on Saturday and KWC (4-10, 0-6) will visit Indianapolis.
Indianapolis 3, Southern Indiana 1 (21-25, 29-27, 25-22, 25-17)

INDIANAPOLIS – After struggling out of the gate on Friday night, the Indianapolis volleyball team regrouped and pulled out a 3-1 win over visiting Southern Indiana. UIndy (7-4, 5-1) dropped the first set, 25-21, but took the next three behind a pair of double-doubles from Kristina Hefferan and Kristina Kerrigan. Hefferan posted 19 kills and 15 digs, while Kerrigan added 17 kills and 12 digs. Courtney Anglemyer, who recorded her 1,000th career kill in the match finished with seven kills and four blocks. Southern Indiana (6-4, 4-2) was led by Lauren DeShaney who had 17 kills in the match. UIndy will host Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday, while USI visit Saint Joseph’s.
Missouri S&T 3, Maryville 0 (25-16, 25-6, 25-13)

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T remained unbeaten in GLVC play with a sweep of Maryville on Friday night. The Miners (9-3) moved to 6-0 in the league behind 29 assists from Jennifer Costello. Melanie Shehorn and Hayley Wright each notched eight kills. Maryville (4-5) was limited to just 14 kills for the match and fell to 1-5 in the GLVC. S&T will host Missouri-St. Louis in a key GLVC West Division match on Saturday, while Maryville travels to Drury.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Missouri-St. Louis wrestled a five-set victory from host Drury on Friday night in GLVC volleyball action. The Tritons (8-3, 5-1) received a double-double from Chelsea Burkle who had 21 kills and 10 digs. Weslie Gaff added 15 kills and eight blocks for the Tritons who will now head to S&T to battle for a share of the GLVC West Division lead on Saturday. Drury (7-5, 3-3) was guided by Sara Borneman who had 23 kills and 11 digs. Drury will welcome Quincy on Saturday.
Rockhurst 3, Illinois Springfied 1 (20-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18)

Springfield, Ill. – After dropping the opening set to Illinois Springfield on Friday night, 25-20, Rockhurst staved off the Prairie Stars’ upset bid by reeling off three straight sets, earning a 3-1 victory. The Hawks had four players reach double-digit kills and four players reach double-digit digs on the night. Maggie McGovern had a double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs, while Maggie Hummel added 10 kills and 15 digs. Setter Leah Burbach finished with 41 assists and 12 digs for Rockhurst. UIS (2-10, 1-5) was led by Kellee Mahaffay who had 17 kills and 12 digs. Rockhurst (5-6, 3-3) will host Quincy on Saturday, while UIS heads to William Jewell.
No. 22 Lewis 3, Bellarmine 0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-18)

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – No. 22 Lewis took down visiting Bellarmine on Friday night, 25-13, 25-14, 25-18, to even its league record at 3-3. The Flyers (7-4) finished with a .373 hitting percentage and were guided by Jen Krumwiede who hit .500 while recording 13 kills. Danielle Mount also hit .500 and posted five kills and seven blocks in the win. Bellarmine (6-4) fell to 2-4 in the league and was led by Krista Gibson who had eight kills. Lewis will welcome No. 12 Northern Kentucky to Neil Carey Arena on Saturday, while Bellarmine travels to UW-Parkside.
William Jewell 3, Quincy 1 (22-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-15)

The Cardinals were led by Hannah Herndon who posted a match-high 14 kills, nine digs five blocks. Katie Dagmar chipped in 19 digs in the victory. Quincy (4-6, 2-4) was led by Brittany Atkinson and Christine Williams who each had nine kills. William Jewell (7-4 , 3-3) will host UIS on Saturday and Quincy is heading to Rockhurst.
