Maryville 2, No. 7 Missouri S&T 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ST. LOUIS – Maryville pulled off an upset of No. 7 Missouri S&T on Friday night in GLVC men’s soccer action. The Saints (3-6-1, 2-5-0) snapped a five-game losing streak with the victory and received the game-winner from Nick Doherty in the 23rd minute. Doherty was assisted by Kory Dowell who added an insurance goal in the 60th minute. S&T (7-2, 5-2) held a slight edge on shots during the evening, 10-9, and Maryville goalkeeper Michael Flatley earned the shutout with one save. Maryville will next host Drury on Sunday, while S&T will look to bounce back at UMSL.

No. 10 Northern Kentucky 1, UW-Parkside 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The 10th-ranked Northern Kentucky men’s soccer team posted a 1-0 victory over visiting UW-Parkside on Friday night. The Norse were led by Kevin Donnelly who scored the game-winning goal in the 19th minute. Ben Dorn earned the win in goal by recording three saves. NKU (8-1, 6-1) outshot the Rangers 12-4. NKU will welcome Lewis on Sunday. UW-Parkside ( 5-3-1, 3-3-1) will visit Bellarmine to complete the weekend roadtrip.

Lewis 3, Bellarmine 2 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Lewis used a Robens Decius goal in the 83rd minute to pull out a 3-2 win at Bellarmine on Friday night. The Flyers (4-5, 4-3) jumped held a 2-0 lead through the first 71 minutes of the match as Aloiso Barros scored in the 31st minute on a Decius goal and George Thomson scored in the 54th minute. Bellarmine answered with a pair of goals minutes apart to knot the score at 2-2. Cole Page scored on a penalty kick in the 72nd minute and Robert Bowling posted a score in the 73rd minute. Thomson tallied a an assist on Decius’ game-winner. Lewis will travel to No. 10 Northern Kentucky on Sunday and Bellarmine (4-5, 3-4) will host UW-Parkside.

Missouri-St. Louis 1, Drury 0 (OT) – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ST. LOUIS – Peter Hyde scored just 1:28 into overtime on Friday night to lift Missouri-St. Louis to a 1-0 victory over visiting Drury. Hyde scored the game-winner on a cross from Almin Sabotic in the 92nd minute. The Tritons, who outshot the Panthers 15-5, received a shutout from Tim Boruff as he anchored the defense with one save. UMSL (4-2-3, 3-2-2) will host No. 7 Missouri S&T on Sunday and Drury (6-4, 4-3)  is heading to Maryville.

Quincy 3, William Jewell 2 (OT) – BOX SCORE | RECAP

QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy pulled out a 3-2 win in overtime against visiting William Jewell on Friday night. Quincy’s Jordan Roberts followed a shot off the crossbar in the 96th minute to deliver the victory. Grant Ellison earned the assist on the game-winner after posting the first two goals of the match for the Hawks. Ellison’s goal in the 51st minute tied the match and he provided Quincy a 2-1 lead in the 62nd minute  on an assist from Nate Heryford.  William Jewell’s Cole Prather sent the match to overtime with a goal in the 84th minute. Quincy (6-2-1, 5-1-1) will next host Rockhurst on Sunday, while William Jewell (4-5, 3-4) heads to UIS.

Saint Joseph’s 4, Kentucky Wesleyan 3 (OT) – BOX SCORE | RECAP

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Cole Galloway scored a pair of goals on Friday night to help Saint Joseph’s nab a 4-3 overtime victory at Kentucky Wesleyan. Saint Joseph’s trailed 3-2 late in the second half before Galloway pulled the Pumas to within one at 3-2 with a goal in the 78th minute. Teammate Tyler Blankenship tied the match with just 47 seconds left in regulation unassisted to force overtime. Galloway then put home the game-winner in the 99th minute to give the Pumas the win. Kentucky Wesleyan (2-8, 0-7) had second-half goals scored by Sam Wanninger, Jolee Salle and Takis Agisiliou. Saint Joseph’s (4-4-1, 4-2-1) will visit Southern Indiana on Sunday and Kentucky Wesleyan will welcome Indianapolis.

Indianapolis 3, Southern Indiana 2 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Indianapolis defeated Southern Indiana in men’s soccer on Friday night, 3-2. After USI had earned a 1-0 lead on an Austin Andrekus goal in the 14th minute, UIndy tied the match on a goal by Casey Castle and an assist for Matt Franco. Bobby Adkins put the Greyhounds up 2-1 in the 27th minute with Franco tallying another assist. Franco then added the game-winning goal in the 51st minute unassisted. USI (1-8, 0-7) pulled within one at 3-2 in the 54th minute on an assist from James Kennedy. UIndy (7-2, 6-1) will head to Kentucky Wesleyan on Sunday and Southern Indiana will host Saint Joseph’s

Rockhurst 2, Illinois Springfield 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Rockhurst secured a 2-0 win over host Illinois Springfield on Friday night. Paolo Scoppola scored the game-winner unassisted in the 20th minute and Mark Magee added an insurance goal in the 64th minute on an assist from Keith Williams. The Hawks (6-2, 5-2) outshot UIS 16-8 for the match and received a shutout from goalkeeper Ryan Bass who made five saves on the night. Rockhurst will next visit Quincy on Sunday, while UIS (0-7-1, 0-6-1) will host William Jewell.
