ASHLAND, Ohio- A goal with just more than three minutes in regulation off the foot of Michael Bartlett gave No. 1 Northern Kentucky a 2-1 win over No. 20 Ashland Sunday. After a scoreless first half, Nicholas Chiarot put NKU on the board with a goal assisted by Mason Cassady. The Eagles tied the game in the 71st minute, with Bartlett's score giving NKU the win in the 87th minute. The Norse open GLVC play Friday against Kentucky Wesleyan.

LIBERTY, Mo.- William Jewell opened its tenure as an NCAA Division II institution Sunday with a 2-1 win over visition Sioux Falls. The Cardinals overcame an early 1-0 deficit to win the game, with Chad Newman scoring in the 82nd minute. Forrest Curren tallied the gamewinner four minutes later on an assist from Troy Green. William Jewell opens GLVC play Friday, hosting Drury.

FINDLAY, Ohio- Bellarmine picked up its first win of the 2011 slate with a 6-0 win over Findlay Sunday. Jacob Kaye, Shane Mihaljevic, Dan Schiavi, Kai Qualah and Robert Bowling all tallied goals for the Knights in the win, which improves them to 1-1-0 on the season. Bellarmine opens the GLVC portion of their schedule Friday, hosting Southern Indiana.

QUINCY, Ill.- Behind two goals from Spencer Brinkmeyer, the Missouri S&T Miners took a 2-1 win over Lindenwood at the Quincy Soccer Bowl. Missouri S&T led the shots battle 14-12 overall, and keeper Pat McNamee finished the ballgame with five saves on the night. The Miners open GLVC play Friday at Rockhurst.
