Freshman Christakis Agisilaou (Owensboro/Owensboro HS) recorded a hat trick as the Panthers defeated cross-town rival Brescia at Panther Field on Monday afternoon.
Agisilaou scored the KWC's first two goals on assists from freshman Zack Duvall (Owensboro/Owensboro HS) at the 25th and 33rd minute mark to lead 2-0 at halftime.
Sophomore Haris Dzaferbegovic (LaGrange Heights, IL/Lyons Township HS) opened the second half at the 47th minute on an assist from frreshman Ryan Brewer (Owensboro/Daviess County HS).
Agisilaou scored on a penalty kick at the 50th minute. Freshman Alex Bokeno (Murray/Murray HS) scored his first collegiate goal at the 65th minute on an assist from freshman Darby Lenox (Lexington/Tates Creek HS) and Dzaferbegovic.
Duvall closed our the game with a goal at the 83rd minute from Bokeno.
Freshman goalie Peter Stoll (Newark, OH/Granville HS) recorded his first collegiate shutout while collecting three saves. Brescia's Mike Guillat had 11 saves.
KWC (2-0) produced 33 shots to the Bearcats (0-2) seven.
The Panthers travel to Northern Kentucky on Friday to open the Great Lakes Valley Conference season.
