NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Lewis claimed its first women's golf invitational on Tuesday as the Flyers posted a team victory at the Cardinal Classic hosted by North Central at Cress Creek CC in Naperville, Ill. The Flyers posted a team score of 350 to finish first out of 13 teams. Leading the way for Lewis was Breanne Fredette who placed second overall out of 79 golfers with an 84. Leila Marquet finished sixth overall (88) and was followed by teammates Vanessa Phillips and Carly Shapiro who tied for seventh with an 89.
Saint Joseph's placed 10th out of 13 teams at the event with a team score of 420. The Pumas were paced by Sara Dienes who tied for 29th with a score of 96, while Bethany Hainje tied for 46th with a score of 104.

TUNICA, Miss. - Southern Indiana took the team crown at The Buccaneer hosted by Christian Brothers at Tunica National on Monday and Tuesday. The Eagles posted a team score of 709 to finish eight strokes ahead of runner-up Cumberland.Taylor Merriss won medalist honors by finishing the 36-hole event with an 86-80--186. Teammate Lindsey Carr placed third with a 90-84--174 and Stephanie Orsburn (T6th), Audrey Mayer (8th) and Griffin Glasscock (9th) also finished in the top ten.
