Missouri S&T 55, Southern Indiana 50 OT – BOX SCORE  | RECAP

Evansville, Ind.- Despite a lead as high as eight points, the Southern Indiana Eagles could not hold off Missouri S&T. After trailing most of the game, the Missouri S&T Miners came out strong in overtime to squeeze past Southern Indiana 55-50. Hailee Parks led the Miners with 22 points. She posted a double double on the night as she also added 11 rebounds. Stephanie Carpenter was the lead for the Eagles with 17 points. Southern Indiana (6-5) will host Drury on Saturday night, while Missouri S&T (9-2) will look to pick up another road win against Kentucky Wesleyan.
 
Saint Joseph’s 83, Quincy 63 – BOX SCORE  | RECAP
 
Quincy, Ill.- The Saint Joseph’s women’s basketball team continued their run with a convincing conference road win against Quincy on Thursday. The Saint Joseph’s squad outshot the Hawks 83-63 going 29-for-67 from the floor and going an impressive 60 percent from behind the arc. The Pumas forced 13 Quincy turnovers en route to the victory. Despite the loss, Quincy’s Kassidy Shuman and Linsay Henke each posted a game-high 20 points for the Hawks. Saint Joseph’s Tatiana Ortiz followed with 18 points on the night to lead the Pumas. The Quincy squad moves to 7-4 on the year and will host Indianapolis on January 7. Saint Joseph’s (8-3) will look to extend their win streak to five with a win against Illinois Springfield on Saturday afternoon.
 
Maryville 76, Lewis 65 – BOX SCORE  | RECAP
 
ST. LOUIS- The Maryville women’s basketball team resumed their conference schedule with a 76-65 win over Lewis on their home court Thursday evening. Maryville was led by Abby Duethman who posted a double double with 19 points and 10 rebounds on the night and led the way for Maryville’s 30-for-71 (42.3%) shooting from the floor. Lewis’ Labrenthia Murdock scored a game-high 25 points despite the Lewis loss. Lewis (3-8) will stay in St. Louis to take on Missouri-St. Louis on Friday night, while Maryville (5-6) will look to even out their record as they play host to No. 17 UW-Parkside.
 
Drury 70, Kentucky Wesleyan 60 – BOX SCORE  | RECAP
 
Owensboro, Ky.- The battle of the Panthers ended with Drury defeating Kentucky Wesleyan 70-60 on Wesleyan’s home court. Junior Abby Bracker scored a career-high 18 points to lead Drury. She also collected seven rebounds to give the Drury squad a 41-24 rebounding advantage. Kentucky Wesleyan did not have any players reach double figures, but Katie Behrens and Kourtney Rhoades contributed nine points each for Wesleyan. The Kentucky Wesleyan team (8-3) looks to improve with a January 7 win over Missouri S&T who stands at the top of the GLVC West. Drury (8-4) will also be in action on January 7 and hope capture another win on the road against Southern Indiana.
 
 
Rockhurst 57, Bellarmine 55– BOX SCORE  |  RECAP
 
LOUISVILLE- The Bellarmine Lady Knights hosted Rockhurst for Thursday evening conference action. The two teams were caught in a battle and exchanged leads frequently before Rockhurst’s Chrissy Sarcone banked a lay-up in the final second to close out the second half 57-55. Rockhurst’s 48 percent shooting from the field gave them the slight edge over the Bellarmine squad. MaKayla Grahn led the Hawks with 13 points on the night. Bellarmine’s Kylie Brady also had 13 points. Rockhurst improves to 3-7 on the year while Bellarmine moves to 6-5. The Hawks will face off against Northern Kentucky on Saturday as Bellarmine looks to recover and find a win against William Jewell.
 
Indianapolis 82, Illinois Springfield 77 – BOX SCORE  | RECAP
 
SPRINGFIELD- The Indianapolis women’s basketball team improved their record to 9-2 on the year with a road win against Illinois Springfield Thursday. Despite a lead as large as 10, the Illinois Springfield squad could not stop Indianapolis as the Greyhounds shot an impressive 29-for-51 (56.9%) from the floor to take the game 82-77. Indianapolis’ Kristin Turner banked a game-high 29 points to lead the Greyhounds. Illinois Springfield was led by Elizabeth Kelly who recorded a double double with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Indianapolis will next take on Quincy on Saturday afternoon while Illinois Springfield (6-5) looks for a win at home against Saint Joseph’s.
 
Northern Kentucky 73, William Jewell 41- BOX SCORE  | RECAP
 
Highland Heights, Ky.-The Northern Kentucky Norse defeated new member William Jewell 73-41 on Thursday evening. Northern Kentucky shot 51 percent from the field to William Jewell’s 32.7 percent shooting and collected 12 more rebounds than the Cardinal squad. Northern Kentucky’s Maria Bennett tallied a game-high 21 points for the Norse. Casse Mogan and Ellen Holton also hit double figures in scoring combining for 23 points. The Northern Kentucky squad moves to 9-2 on the year while William Jewell moves to 6-3. Northern Kentucky will continue conference action against Rockhurst and William Jewell will head to Louisville to take on Bellarmine on January 7.
 
UW-Parkside 69, Missouri-St. Louis 43 – BOX SCORE  | RECAP
 
ST. LOUIS- The No. 17 ranked UW-Parkside women’s basketball team got the better of Missouri-St. Louis in Thursday night conference action. The Rangers went 23-for-47 from the field and were led by Brittany Beyer’s 21 points and seven rebounds. Caitlyn Moody led the Tritons with 14 points and eight rebounds. UW-Parkside (9-2) hopes to keep the wins coming in their matchup with Maryville on January 7 while Missouri-St. Louis (5-6) looks to find a win on their home turf in their Saturday night matchup with Lewis.
