Drake Patterson set a career-high for a second straight game, matching Alex Halls' 19 points to lead Drury past Quincy 78-71 in a key Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division game Saturday afternoon before 2,117 fans at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.  Justin Jones added 10 points as Drury improved to 13-8 overall and 7-6 in the GLVC and moved a step closer to the Hawks in the standings with its fourth straight win.  Quincy's Justin Brock recorded a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds, including seven offensive rebounds.  Jordan Wilson and Ryan Stuckman each added 10 points for the Hawks, who fell to 15-6 overall and 8-5 in GLVC action while having their five game winning streak snapped. 

Maryville 73, Rockhurst 64 - BOXSCOREMU Recap | RU Recap
Gerald Shaw tied his career high with 23 points and Maryville hit five straight free throws down the stretch to register a 73-64 triumph over Rockhurst Saturday in Kansas City, Mo., Saturday afternoon. Shaw made 8-of-11 shots from the field, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and all three free throws as the Saints snapped a three-game losing streak.  In addition to his 23 points, Shaw tied for the team lead with five rebounds. Armon Provo added 15 points and five rebounds, while Asa Toney netted 11 points. Brandon McCann's 19 points paced Rockhurst, which dropped to 7-13 and 4-8 in the GLVC.  The Saints improved to 10-10 overall with the win and 4-9 in GLVC play.

Kentucky Wesleyan 81, Saint Joseph's 75 - BOXSCORE | KWC Recap | SJC Recap
Playing its second ranked team in three days, Saint Joseph’s fell to No. 7 Kentucky Wesleyan 81-75 on Saturday afternoon. KWC picked up its first victory at Richard F. Scharf Alumni Fieldhouse since the 2002-03 season by taking control early with a 20-7 lead through first eight minutes.  Brandon Johnson led the Panthers with 20 points, followed by Anthony Young with 19 points and 12 rebounds.  Marseilles Stewart also added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  SJC's Corey Clifton finished with 15 points while Phillip Collins added 14 points. Michael Lipton ended the game with 12 points off the bench.  KWC improved to 18-3 overall and 10-3 in GLVC play, while the Pumas dropped to 7-14 on the season and 2-12 in conference action.

Illinois Springfield 71, Missouri S&T 69 - BOXSCOREUIS Recap | S&T Recap
Illinois Springfield trailed by as much as eight and didn't take the lead for good until there were 36 seconds left and then held on for a 71-69 win over Missouri S&T Saturday afternoon at Billy Key Court.  Jermaine Love-Roberts led the Prairie Stars with 23 points while Michael Fakuade, who blocked a potential game-tying Miner shot with two seconds to play, finished with 18 points and five rebounds. Kyle Gupton chipped in with 12 points.  The Miners, who shot 51 percent from the field in the game, had four players in double figures led by Tommy Pelczynski with 17 points. S&T also got 14 points from Bryce Foster and 13 from Michael Jackson and Curtis Okafor, who reached a career-high in the process.  The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Prairie Stars and vaulted them to 11-11 overall and 8-5 in the GLVC. Missouri S&T dropped to 3-18 and 2-11.

Facing its third straight nationally-ranked opponent, UW-Parkside fell to No. 15 Northern Kentucky 77-65 on Saturday afternoon.  Ethan Faulkner led four players in double figures for Northern Kentucky with 15.  UWP's Leneal Harris had a game-high 19 points while Ziggy Riauka was one shy of matching his career high with 17.  Northern Kentucky improved to 17-4 on the year and 9-4 in conference action, while UW-Parkside fell to 8-13 overall and 1-12 in the GLVC.

The No. 1 Bellarmine University men's basketball team fought off a furious comeback by the Lewis Flyers to grind out an 80-75 victory tonight in a Great Lakes Valley Conference Game at Neil Carey Arena.  The Knights were led by Chris Dowe's 23-point performance, which included four blocked shots and six rebounds to boot.  Bellarmine also got solid performances from Luke Sprague (17 points, 8 rebounds), Braydon Hobbs (16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocked shots, 4 assists), and Jeremy Kendle (11 points, 5 assists).  The Flyers were paced by guard Chris McClellan, who had a game high 24 points. Lewis got a much needed shot in the arm in the second half as Nick Valla came off the bench to score 14 of his 16 points in the second period.  The win was Bellarmine's 15th in a row and propels the Knights to 20-1 on the season and 12-1 in league play. It marks the eighth 20-win season in Bellarmine's history and is the fourth in a row.  Lewis dropped to 13-8 and 5-8 in the GLVC. The Flyers have dropped just four home contests this year—all to teams ranked in the top 15 of the nation.

Junior Joshua McCoy scored 20 of his career-high 26 points in the second half to help University of Missouri-St. Louis rally from a 17-point deficit en route to a 67-62 win at William Jewell Saturday afternoon.  Jewell (7-12, 4-9 GLVC) posted its largest lead of the game at 54-37 with 9:51 to play, but from there the Tritons outscored their hosts 30-13 to end the game and improve to 15-6 overall, including 10-3 in the GLVC.  UMSL's Aaeron Smith pulled down a career-best 12 rebounds and added eight points. The Cardinals were led by Nick Larson’s 23 points and 19 rebounds. 

Indianapolis 65, Southern Indiana 59 - BOXSCOREUSI RecapUINDY Recap
Eighth-ranked  Southern Indiana could not hold a 16-point lead as UIndy came from behind to win 65-59 Saturday evening in Indianapolis.  The Greyhounds were led by Jarrett Hamilton with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting, while Wilbur O'Neal added 15 points and 13 rebounds.  USI was led by senior guard Brandon Hogg with 20 points and senior forward Isaac McClure with 13 points.  USI fell to 17-4 overall and 9-4 in the GLVC, while UIndy improved to 16-5, 9-4 GLVC.
