ASHLAND, Ohio- Despite Ferris State out-shooting (51% to 43%) and out-rebounding (32-25) the #17 UW-Parkside women's basketball team in NCAA Regional semifinal action Saturday, the Rangers pulled out the 71-57 win and are headed to the NCAA DII Sweet 16. Jenna Endish's 22 points led UWP (24-5) in the win, while Brittany Beyer added 18 and Jadee Rooney put in 16. The Bulldogs (23-7) were paced by nine points each from Kelsey DeNoyelles and Tricia Principe. The Rangers advance to face the winner of Saturday evening's #2 Ashland/Quincy game.

ASHLAND, Ohio- The Quincy Lady Hawks bowed out of 2011-12 NCAA Regional play with a 71-69 loss at the hands of Regional host and nationally-ranked #2 Ashland Saturday evening, 71-69. Quincy, which closes out its season with a record of 22-8, was paced by 20 points from Kassidy Shuman, while Ali Schwagmeyer put up a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Lucy Cramsy added 11 points and Darla Gatschenberger had 10 in the Quincy loss. The Eagles were led in the win by a whopping 28 pionts and 22 rebounds from Kari Daugherty. Ashland advances to face the lone GLVC school still standing, Wisconsin-Parkside, in the Regional Final Monday night at 7:00.
