The Norse (36-19) tallied the eventual game-winner in the top of the fourth, with Mandi McQueen coming into score on a sacrifice fly by Natalie Papi. McQueen doubled down the rightfield line to open the inning.
McQueen's two hits on the day led NKU, while Chelsea Minor, Rachel Wood and Sarah Gray all tallied hits for the Prairie Stars (34-21)
Emily Schwaeble (22-6) earned the win, scattering just three hits for the Norse and fanning 10. Heather Gradishar (14-7) took the loss for the Prairie Stars, striking out one in five innings of work.

GLVC Pitcher of the Year Jennifer DeMotte surrendered just one hit, broke the UIndy single-season strikeout record and tallied three RBI at the plate in leading top-seeded UIndy (50-7) to a convincing 10-0 win over Wayne State to open NCAA Regional play.
Briana Clark went a perfect 3-for-3 with a pair of runs scored, while Taylor Russell was also 3-for-3 with three RBI for the Greyhounds. DeMotte (35-5) took the victory, striking out six over four innings of work.
The Greyhounds and the Norse will battle in the winner's bracket game of the Midwest Regional #1 Saturday at 10 a.m., while the Prairie Stars take on Wayne State at 3 p.m. from UIndy's Baumgartner Field.

The Knights (32-28) fell in their first game of NCAA Regional action Friday, 2-1 to GLIAC-foe Ashland.
Bellarmine tallied its lone run in the top of the fourth, with Megan Murdoch sending a homerun out to rightcenter. The HR was the only hit of the ballgame for the Knights.
Alicia Miller (16-17) was assessed the loss, striking out two and scattering five hits while giving up both Eagle runs.
#7 Saint Joseph's 4, #2 Grand Valley State 1

The Pumas (35-19) pulled off the biggest upset of the day for the GLVC, besting Grand Valley State (44-14) 4-1.
Three runs in the second inning on a hit and a Laker error put Saint Joseph's up early. Grand Valley got one run back in the bottom of the third, but an Audra Rains double to right center in the fifth added the final Puma run.
Megan Ramey (16-9) took the victory, striking out three. Rains and Shawn Hoskins each had a pair of hits for the Pumas.
Saint Joseph's and Ashland will meet in the winner's bracket at 11 a.m. Saturday, while Bellarmine will play Grand Valley at 1:30 p.m. in an elimination contest.
