The University of Indianapolis sits atop the leaderboard at the halfway point of the 2014 Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Golf Championship, which was held Saturday at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Ill.
The Greyhounds’ 304 is nine strokes better than second-place Drury University (313) and 13 shots ahead of the University of Southern Indiana (317) entering Sunday’s final 18-hole round.
USI’s Anastasia Carter was the lone player in the field of 70 participants to card a sub-par round, firing a 2-under-par 70 to hold a two-stroke advantage over second-place Jaclyn Schindler’s 72.
With the threat of severe weather in the afternoon, Sunday’s final round has been altered to a shotgun format at 8 a.m. CT.
