CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL | RESULTS (PDF)
ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Missouri S&T earned it second league championship and first since 2009 when the Miners totaled a winning score of 172 points Saturday at the 2014 Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Lewis University.
S&T defeated defending GLVC Champion Indianapolis (124), while holding off Lewis (116) and Southern Indiana (100.5). Complete results can be found in the link above.
Following the event, Missouri S&T earned three of the four major conference awards as Adriel Hawkins was named GLVC Track Athlete of the Year, Joseph Vellella was tabbed as GLVC Field Athlete of the Year, and head coach Sterling Martin was voted by his peers as GLVC Coach of the Year. Bellarmine’s Torian Vaughn was selected as GLVC Freshman of the Year.
