INDIANAPOLIS – Garnering its third postseason bid in the last four years, the Universty of Indianapolis football team was one 28 teams to qualify for the 2015 NCAA Division II Football Championship. The D-II Football Committee announced the playoff field on NCAA.com Sunday evening, with the Greyhounds (10-1) taking the No. 5 seed in Super Region Four.

New this season is the addition of a seventh playoff team from each of the country's four regions, upping the field from 24 to 28 teams. UIndy's first-round contest is one of 12 playoff games taking place Saturday, Nov. 21, as the top team from each region received a bye. The Hounds will begin their postseason run on the road at fourth-seeded and defending-national-champ Colorado State-Pueblo (10-1) in a 2 p.m. ET kick. The pairing brings a rematch of a 2012 second-round contest won by CSUP, 28-7.

Indianapolis, which has not lost to a D-II team all season, is making its third postseason appearance since joining Division II back in 1979.  Before just missing out on a postseason berth last season, the Greyhounds advanced to the playoffs in both 2012 and '13. UIndy picked up the program's first and only postseason victory with a 31-14 win versus Midwestern State in the 2012 first round.

UIndy has represented the GLVC in alll three of its postseason trips since the league began sponsoring the sport in 2012.

Other first-round pairings Saturday include a GLIAC match-up of third-seeded Ashland (10-0) hosting No. 6-seed Grand Valley State (9-2), as well as a meeting between GLIAC-champ and second-seeded Ferris State (10-0) and the Lone Star Conference's Texas A&M-Commerce (8-3), the seventh seed.

LSC-champ Midwestern State (10-1), who managed a 37-33 comeback win at A&M-Commerce Saturday, earned the top seed and thus a first-round bye.
