INDIANAPOLIS – Quincy University senior wide receiver Eric Poindexter, University of Indianapolis senior defensive back Korey Rogan, and Saint Joseph’s College senior punter Marcin Gawlak have earned Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eric Poindexter, Quincy
Sr., WR, Newport News, Virginia
Team Result: 55-14 win at William Jewell
- Set school and GLVC single-game records for receptions (20) and receiving yards (317)
- Tied the school record with three touchdown receptions (19, 19, 77 yards)
- Had second-most receptions in a single-game (13) by halftime
- Finished the day with 375 all-purpose yards
- Leads NCAA Division II in all-purpose yards/game (205.0) and is fifth in the country in receiving yards (762)
- Earns his first Offensive Player of the Week award
- Last Quincy Offensive Player of the Week: Robbie Kelley (9/5/16)
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Korey Rogan, Indianapolis
Sr., DB, Indianapolis, Indiana
Team Result: 34-24 home win vs. McKendree
- Collected a career-high three interceptions
- Added five tackles and two pass break-ups
- First Greyhound with three interceptions in a game since 2013
- Made the game-clinching play with a 28-yard pick-six with 1:38 left
- Notched second interception in the end zone, stopping a McKendree drive late in the third quarter of a three-point game
- Earns his first Defensive Player of the Week award

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
