INDIANAPOLIS -- Two Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Soccer players have been named as Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America Team members.

Truman State University junior goalkeeper Katie Mattingly was named to the All-America Second Team after also being named GLVC Defensive Player of the Year at the end of the regular season, and GLVC Offensive Player of the Year Sydnee Carroll of McKendree University was named an Honorable Mention All-American.

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences selected the three Daktronics All-America teams. The process begins at the regional level with the first-team all-region picks advancing to the national ballot. A total of 53 student-athletes representing 29 different institutions filled out the three teams and the honorable mention squad.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
