INDIANAPOLIS – Truman State University freshman running back Jordan Salima and sophomore punter Brock Rohler, along with McKendree University senior linebacker A.J. Wentland, have earned Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jordan Salima, Truman State

Team Result: 37-0 home win vs. Lincoln
- Turned in first 100-yard rushing game as a Bulldog with 125 yards on 20 carries (6.2/att.)
- Scored two rushing touchdowns (28 yards, 3 yards)
- Added a team-high eight catches for 53 yards, including a 21-yard TD reception
- Added 18 kick return yards to total 196 all-purpose yards for the game
- Earns first Offensive Player of the Week award, but his second straight weekly award as he was named Special Team Player of the Week last Monday

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Anchored McKendree defense with a team-high 10.0 tackles
- Forced a fumble midway through the first quarter, which then led to a McKendree TD on ensuing drive for a 14-7 lead
- Intercepted a pass at Jewell’s one-yard line as Cardinals were looking to cut deficit in four quarter
- Has posted double-digit tackles in 23 of last 25 games
- Leads team with 54 tackles in four games this year
- Earns his sixth Defensive Player of the Week award (9/12/16, 11/16/15, 11/9/15, 9/14/15, 11/10/14)

- Averaged 37.2 yards per punt, with a long of 46 and no returns
- Downed all five of his punts inside the Lincoln 20-yard line, including four punts inside the 10
- Second punt of the night was downed at the 1 and led to a safety by the Truman defense
- Earns his first Special Teams Player of the Week award
