It's all GLVC women's basketball all week. Thursday starts the weekly schedule of league games with seven on the docket, as the top-two Central and East teams, respectively, face off when Missouri-St. Louis (12-5, 6-4 GLVC) travels to Lewis (17-4, 10-1). The Flyers are on a league-best, 10-game win streak, while the Tritons have won their last five in a row. Truman State (10-7, 5-5) will get another shot at nationally-ranked Drury (18-2, 9-1) in that West Division showdown in Springfield, after the Panthers took a 57-46 win in Kirksville not long ago on Jan. 15. Saturday finds five Central vs. East match-ups, as Bellarmine, Indianapolis, Lewis, Southern Indiana, and UW-Parkside all host their second game of the week, while Truman and Missouri S&T welcome fellow West foes in Rockhurst and Drury, respectively, to complete the seven-game slate.

Lewis came out strong, taking a 17-6 lead in the first quarter, but it was Missouri-St. Louis that brought the Flyers 10-game win streak to an end, using a 24-5 edge in the last frame, which included a steal and three-pointer in the final seconds, to pick up the huge 66-63 road win. The only other team to earn a road win was McKendree, defeating Indianapolis, 63-53, despite the fact that Martha Burse poured in a game-high 31 points to secure her 1,000th point as a Greyhound. With the win, the Bearcats overtook UIndy at No. 8 in the GLVC Point Rating System rankings. No. 16 Southern Indiana's 75-50 win over Maryville moved the Screaming Eagles into sole posession of first in the PRS narrowly ahead of No. 9 Drury in second, which defeated Truman State 72-46. Elsewhere, Bellarmine topped visiting Quincy 79-60, UW-Parkside scored a nice 67-57 victory against Illinois Springfield, and William Jewell beat Missouri S&T 66-54.
