INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis junior running back Al McKeller and senior linebacker Joe Lambright, as well as Lindenwood University junior linebacker Drew Seers, have earned Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in football, it was announced by the league office Monday. 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Al McKeller, Indianapolis
Jr., RB, Indianapolis, Indiana
Major: Criminal Justice

Team Result: 48-7 win vs. Missouri S&T
  • Rushed for season-high 184 yards on 30 carries
  • Scored a pair of rushing touchdowns, including a six-yard TD in the second quarter and a 10-yarder in the third
  • Performance propelled him from No. 6 to No. 3 on UIndy’s list of career rushing leaders
  • Has scored at least one rushing touchdown in all seven games this year
  • Leads the GLVC and ranks 14th nationally at 117.7 rushing yards per game
  • Earns his fourth career Offensive Player of the Week award (9/4/17, 10/8/18, 11/12/18, 10/28/19)
  • Last Indianapolis Offensive Player of the Week:  Toriano Clinton (9/16/19)
 
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Drew Seers, Lindenwood
Jr., LB, St. Louis, Missouri
Major: Business

Team Result: 33-27 win at Quincy

 
  • Registered 19 tackles, including nine solo stops, in non-conference win
  • Tallied 3.5 tackles for loss and posted one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry
  • Had three solo tackles and one QBH on a drive that Quincy turned the ball over on downs
  • Now has 106 tackles and 8.5 TFL on the year
  • Earns his second-straight and third overall career Defensive Player of the Week award (10/7/19, 10/21/19, 10/28/19)
  • Last Lindenwood Defensive Player of the Week:  Drew Seers (10/21/19)
 
 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Joe Lambright, Indianapolis
Sr., LB, Leo, Indiana
Major: Exercise Science

Team Result: 48-7 win vs. Missouri S&T

 
  • Registered first career blocked punt, which resulted in Greyhounds recovering in the end zone for a third-quarter touchdown
  • Also recorded his second defensive touchdown of the season with a 60-yard fumble return in the fourth quarter
  • Finished game with nine tackles and a pass breakup.
  • Earns his first career Special Teams Player of the Week award
  • Last Indianapolis Special Teams Player of the Week:  Daveon Bell (10/14/19)
