INDIANAPOLIS – University of Indianapolis sophomore running back Toriano Clinton, Quincy University sophomore linebacker Marvion Harris, and Truman State University senior defensive back Jordan Siegel, have earned Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors in football, it was announced by the league office Monday. 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Toriano Clinton, Indianapolis
So., RB, Calumet, Illinois
Major: Sport Management

Team Result: 48-21 win vs. Hillsdale
  • Racked up a GLVC season-high 172 rushing yards on just 12 carries
  • Averaged 14.3 yards per rush
  • Broke off a 76-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter to put the game out of reach
  • Also hauled in one catch for eight yards and returned one kickoff for 28 yards
  • Named GLVC Freshman of the Year last season
  • Earns his second career Offensive Player of the Week award (10/22/18)
  • Last Indianapolis Offensive Player of the Week:  TJ Edwards (9/9/19)
 
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Marvion Harris, Quincy
So., LB, Riverview, Florida
Major: Criminal Justice

Team Result: 34-16 win at Kentucky Wesleyan
 
  • Led a Hawks defense that held Panthers to just 45 rushing yards on Saturday
  • Stuffed the stat sheet with 10 tackles, including one for a loss, and two interceptions
  • Second interception came at the goal line with 6 minutes, 30 seconds remaining, halting a KWC drive that could have brought it to a one-possession game
  • Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week award
  • Last Quincy Defensive Player of the Week:  Cody Leonard (11/12/18)
 
 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jordan Siegel, Truman State
Sr., DB, St. Louis, Missouri
Major: Exercise Science

Team Result: 35-12 win vs. Wayne (Mich.) State

 
  • Scored his third career touchdown when he stripped the ball from a WSU kick returner and found the end zone
  • After Truman took a 10-0 lead, Siegel make his mark on the ensuing kickoff just 11 seconds later and scored from 28 yards out
  • Scored Truman’s second special teams touchdown in as many games
  • Helped the Bulldogs to a 2-0 start for first time since 2012
  • Earns his first career Special Teams Player of the Week award
  • Last Truman State Special Teams Player of the Week:  Lawrence Woods (9/9/19)
