INDIANAPOLIS – University of Southern Indiana freshman sprinter Kaylee Lane and McKendree University freshman high jumper Laila Graham have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Athletes of the Week in women’s indoor track and field, it was announced by the league office Thursday. 

WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kaylee Lane, Southern Indiana
Fr., Sprints, Elwood, Indiana
Major: Undeclared

Team Result: No Team Scoring, UAB Vulcan Invite
 
  • Set a schedule record in the 400 meters with a time of 58.44 seconds
  • Currently ranked second in the GLVC
  • Earns first career Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award
  • Last Southern Indiana Indoor Track Athlete of the Week:  Julia Kohnen (2/18/15)

     
WOMEN’S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Laila Graham, McKendree
Fr., Jumps/Sprints, Columbia, Missouri
Major: Pre Law

Team Result: 3rd/9 Teams, 116 points, Lewis Invite
  • Hit an NCAA provisional qualifying standard of 1.67 meters in the high jump, which won the college division and set a school record
  • Currently tied for second in the GLVC and tied for 12th in NCAA Division II
  • Earns first career Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award
  • Last McKendree Indoor Field Athlete of the Week:  Ciara Jones (1/31/17)
