My heart hurt the moment I had to prematurely say goodbye to my senior teammates over text. In this time of doubt and uncertainty, I’ve felt many emotions; mostly anger, sadness, and fear. After working hard all year only to have the season stripped from us was gut wrenching at first, but I have faith and hope in something far greater than college athletics.
I know that the sport of Track & Field is not who I am, and being an athlete is only a gift given to me. I know that in this time of doubt and uncertainty that God is still on the throne and Jesus is still King! I know that He still has a plan for all of our lives, and He will be glorified through this situation.
Control the controllables. Have faith.
