USI’s Kromer Earns GLVC Men’s Tennis Weekly Award

INDIANAPOLIS – University of Southern Indiana sophomore Marvin Kromer has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men’s tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

Team Results: 4-2 W at Northwood (2/28) | 5-2 W vs. Ashland (2/29)
 
  • Helped USI defeat two Midwest Region foes last week, winning both his singles and doubles matches
  • Sealed doubles point against Northwood, winning 6-4 at No. 1 with Yahor Bahdanovich against Kobus Sauerman/Ben Brandherm, and won first singles point with 6-2, 6-2 win over Francois Sauerman at No. 3
  • Partnered with Spencer Blandford at No. 2 doubles in 6-0 shutout against Ashland’s Hung Huynh/Tche Kun Teng, ahead of 6-2, 6-4 win against Jordan Phelps at No. 3 singles
  • Earns first career Player of the Week award
