INDIANAPOLIS – University of Southern Indiana sophomore Marvin Kromer has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men’s tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

- Helped USI defeat two Midwest Region foes last week, winning both his singles and doubles matches
- Sealed doubles point against Northwood, winning 6-4 at No. 1 with Yahor Bahdanovich against Kobus Sauerman/Ben Brandherm, and won first singles point with 6-2, 6-2 win over Francois Sauerman at No. 3
- Partnered with Spencer Blandford at No. 2 doubles in 6-0 shutout against Ashland’s Hung Huynh/Tche Kun Teng, ahead of 6-2, 6-4 win against Jordan Phelps at No. 3 singles
- Earns first career Player of the Week award
