INDIANAPOLIS – Lewis University sophomore Casey Smith has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

- Gave up just one point in win over Roosevelt’s Grace Hahn 6-1, 6-0
- Beat McKendree’s Maria Salomao 6-0, 6-2
- Clinched match against UIS with come-from-behind win over Riann Hsu 3-6, 6-4, 6-2
- Was 3-0 at No. 1 doubles with Nefeli Zafeiri
- Beat Fabiloa Rivas and Maria Rivas of Roosevelt, 6-3
- Won 6-2 against McKendree’s Camila Fonseca and Viola Cipriani
- Topped UIS’s Sina Sjkelstad and Neha Mokhasi, 7-5
- Earns first career Player of the Week award
