INDIANAPOLIS – Quincy University junior Bailee Highbarger and University of Indianapolis junior Lexy Rees respectively were named Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Pitcher and Player of the Week in softball, it was announced by the league office Monday.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Team Results: 1-5 L, 1-0 W vs. Drury (4/30) | 1-0 W, 8-1 W vs. Southwest Baptist (5/1)
- Registered two complete game shutouts in wins over Drury and Southwest Baptist last weekend
- Struck out seven batters and only surrendered three walks while holding opposing batters to a .167 batting average
- Earns her first career Player of the Week award
- Last Hawks’ Pitcher of the Week: Jayle Jennings (4/25/22)

Major: Nursing

- Went 9-for-20 (.450) on the weekend, picking up a hit in every game and drawing four walks for an on-base percentage of .455
- Posted a 1.050 slugging percentage with four home runs and drove in 10 RBIs
- Earns first career Player of the Week award
