KANSAS CITY – United Soccer Coaches announced Wednesday (Nov. 8) that Lewis' Godwin Asore is its NCAA DII Men's Soccer Player of the Week. Asore helped the Flyers to a 4-0 victory over Rockhurst in the GLVC Quarterfinals Sunday (Nov. 5) with an assist on the second goal of the game and a goal to cap off the scoring.
It's the first National Player of the Week award for Asore, who has scored five goals and earned seven assists this season. The junior is the Flyers' first National Player of the Week winner since Aris Oluwatuyi on Nov. 3, 2021.
Lewis men's soccer is back on the pitch Friday (Nov. 10) at 5 p.m. CT taking on Indianapolis in the GLVC Semifinals in East Peoria, Ill.
