INDIANAPOLIS – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) released its PING All-America teams Tuesday afternoon with three Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) men’s golfers making the cut.
Missouri S&T's Carl Miltun was named Second Team All-America by the Association after tying for 14th place at the NCAA Championship and earning medalist honors at the GLVC Championship. Miner teammate Gustav Liljedahl claimed honorable mention laurels following a No. 6 finish at the NCAA Championship. The pair is the first S&T golfers to appear on the All-America teams since the 1984 season.
GLVC Player of the Year Joel Sylven of Missouri-St. Louis landed on the third team, making him the first four-time All-American in program history.
