GLVC Recognizes 2022-23 Academic All-Conference Honorees


INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced Tuesday that 3,386 student-athletes have garnered Academic All-GLVC distinction for the 2022-23 season.

The Academic All-GLVC honor is bestowed upon student-athletes who meet a cumulative GPA of 3.30 over two semesters of an academic year at the institution.

The list of honorees features students from the following sports: baseball (324), men’s basketball (100), women’s basketball (148), women’s bowling (49), men’s cross country (123), women’s cross country (116), football (249), men’s golf (92), women’s golf (81), men’s lacrosse (122), women’s lacrosse (109), men’s soccer (290), women’s soccer (314), softball (202), men’s swimming and diving (129), women’s swimming and diving (135), men’s tennis (82), women’s tennis (75), men’s track and field (187), women’s track and field (203), volleyball (177), and wrestling (79).

Not counting the 16 honorees from men’s lacrosse (12) and wrestling (4) associate member Davenport University, the six selections from wrestling associate member Ouachita Baptist University, the 13 winners from women’s lacrosse associate member Missouri Western State University, as well as the 21 recipients from women’s bowling associate members University of Central Missouri (6), Newman University (8), and Upper Iowa University (7), the 3,329 honorees from 13 full-time GLVC members averaged out to 256.1 selections per school. Over the course of the previous five years, the per-school averages have been 250.1 (2021-22), 257.5 (2020-21), 247 (2019-20), 193 (2018-19), and 190 (2017-18).
