AUSTIN, Texas – Four Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) student-athletes were named to the 2024 Academic All-America® Division II Men's Soccer Teams, as selected by the College Sports Communicators, on Tuesday.
Senior midfielder Jacopo Belardo of Rockhurst and Senior defender Arturs Gorodnickis of Lewis were named to the First Team for the GLVC. Belardo, a two-time First Team honoree, holds a 4.00 GPA in data analytics, whilst Gorodnickis holds a 3.86 GPA in Finance and earned his first First-Team nomination, third overall in his career.
Lewis senior goalkeeper Sebastian Doppelhofer currently has a 3.89 GPA in Sports Management, landing him his second overall inclusion, this year a spot on the Third Team. Indianapolis junior midfielder August Abrahamsen (4.00 in finance) rounds out the GLVC honorees with a Third Team nod.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.
