Field Announced for GLVC Tennis Championship Tournaments

INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) released the 2024 Women’s and Men’s Tennis Championship Tournament brackets Saturday night ahead of next weekend’s event at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Mo., May 3-5.

Both men's and women’s squads from Indianapolis earned perfect Conference records at 5-0 to claim the GLVC East Division titles, as well as the No. 1 seeds within the division. The UIndy women won their seventh-straight East title, while the Greyhound men won their 10th consecutive. The Drury men and women also both picked up the West Division’s top seeds, as well as the divisional titles, with perfect 4-0 and 5-0 clips, respectively. For the Panther men, this is their 11th divisional crown, while the women earn their eighth in the last 11 years.

The 2024 event marks the 43rd annual edition for the women and 45th for the men.

The top-four teams based on highest divisional winning percentage from each of the GLVC's two divisions earn a spot in the two eight-team tournaments. Both events are single-elimination with a Championship match conducted on Sunday. On Friday, all the men’s matches will begin at 9 AM Central Time with all the women’s contests starting at approximately 12 PM, while Saturday and Sunday contests are slated for the same times.
