INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) was represented by two teams and two individual runners at this past Saturday's NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships at Wayne E. Dannehl National XC Course in Kenosha Wis.
The Lewis women's team placed 14th out of 34 squads (455 points) in the event, while Lewis' men finished in 12th place (390) as a team. GLVC Champion Evan Horgan, earned USTFCCCA All-American honors and led the Flyer men's squad with a seventh-place finish in the 10k event (29:53.8). Josephine Bober paced the women's program, finishing 55th out of 263 competitors in the 6k race (21:21.1).
Evan Horgan has now earned back-to-back All-Americans. The junior never fell out of All-American status and led through the 3.2k mark.
The other Conference competitors were Illinois Springfield’s Maddie Miller-Ross who placed 84th (21:40), and Drury’s Tyler Harris who finished 106th (31.46.1).
