Lincoln Captures First GLVC Men’s Basketball Championship

ST. CHARLES, MO. – No. 4 seed Lincoln University captured the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men's Basketball Championship title on Sunday with a 58-51 victory over No. 2 seed University of Missouri-St. Louis in Hyland Arena.
 
Lincoln, with its first-ever GLVC Championship in school history, clinches the league’s automatic qualifying bid to the 2025 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional. The Blue Tigers will face Lake Superior State in the first round of the NCAA Midwest Regional.

The Blue Tigers led early in the first half but ended halftime level with the Tritons. Lincoln used a late 6-0 run to pull out the win shooting 38.6% from the field (22-of-57), going 29.2% (7-of-24) from behind the arc, and 70.0% (7-of-10) from the charity stripe. Lincoln held Missouri-St. Louis to 36.4% (16-of-44) from the field and 41.7% (5-of-12) from three, while the Tritons went 70.0% (14-of-20) from the free throw line. Lincoln utilized their paint presence outscoring the Tritons 24-12 in the restricted area. The Blue Tigers also out rebounded Missouri-St. Louis 36 to 32.
 
Andreas Fuller and Tyler Chapman led the charge for Lincoln with Fuller scoring a game-high 19 points and Chapman adding 16 of his own. Franck Yetna grabbed 10 rebounds while providing nine points and two blocks.
 
Missouri-St. Louis’ team-high was scored by Matt Enright and his 14 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Emanuel Prospere II added 13 points and grabbed seven boards.
 
Andreas Fuller was named to the All-Tournament team as the Most Valuable Player, while his teammate Chapman was also recognized. Missouri-St. Louis’ Enright and Prospere II, as well as Kyle Hrncir of the Upper Iowa University rounded out the five-player squad.
