Maryville, Quincy Named GLVC Men’s Soccer Players of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS – Maryville senior forward Sebastian Weitlaner and Quincy junior goalkeeper Jake Offerman have been selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Players of the Week in men's soccer, it was announced by the league office Monday.

  • Helped Hawks to a 2-0 week on the road in GLVC play with a 2-0 win over UIS and a 2-1 victory over #8 Indianapolis
  • Played all 90 minutes in goal against UIS, recording a career-high eight saves for his second shutout of the season
  • Went the full 90 minutes in goal against Indianapolis, making one save and allowing just one goal on a penalty kick in the 84th minute
  • Faced 27 shots with nine on goal
  • Earns first career Defensive Player of the Week Award
