INDIANAPOLIS – McKendree duo of senior attacker Jayna Barnden and junior goalkeeper Amber Hayden have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Players of the Week in women’s lacrosse, it was announced by the league office Monday.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Team Result: 15-2 W at Fort Lewis (3/10) | 17-7 W at CSU Pueblo (3/12)
- Tallied 16 points on 12 goals and four assists
- Recorded an 84.2% (12-of-16) shots-on-goal percentage
- Finished game one with five goals and three assists, placing nine of her ten shots on goal.
- In game two, Barnden scored seven goals and added an assist.
- Added 13 ground balls, three caused turnovers, and one draw control
- Earns third career Offensive Player of the Week Award: (2/25/25, 3/25/24)
- Last Bearcats’ Offensive Player of the Week: Ariyah LaFrance (3/9/26)
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Amber Hayden, McKendree

Team Result: 15-2 W at Fort Lewis (3/10) | 17-7 W at CSU Pueblo (3/12)
- Saved 24 shots and only allowed nine goals in two victories.
- Had a save percentage of .727 (9 goals-33 shots-on-goal)
- Caused two turnovers and scooped four ground balls.
- Best performance came against Fort Lewis where only two goals were let in, finishing with an .875 save percentage
- Earns first career Defensive Player of the Week Award
