UIndy, McKendree Garner GLVC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week Recognition

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis senior midfielder Malaena Michielin and McKendree junior defender Rylee Fox have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Players of the Week in women’s lacrosse, it was announced by the league office Monday. 
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Malaena Michielin, #3 Indianapolis

Major: Exercise Science
Team Result: 22-2 W at Walsh (2/27) | 17-7 W at Ashland (2/28)
  • Tallied 13 points on 11 goals and two assists
    • Scored seven unassisted goals
    • Reached 100 career points in her college career
  • Recorded a .857 (12-of-14) shots-on-goal percentage
  • Added eight draw controls, two ground balls, and one caused turnover
  • Highlighted by performance against Walsh, registering career-high seven scores (four unassisted) on nine shots
    • Ranks sixth in program history for single-game goals
  • Earns first career Offensive Player of the Week Award
  • Last Greyhounds’ Offensive Player of the Week: Olivia Bladon (4/28/25)
