Rockhurst, S&T Garner First GLVC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Honors of 2026

INDIANAPOLIS – Rockhurst senior Maia Maury and Missouri S&T sophomore Sydney Morris have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the league office Thursday.

Team Result: 5th/12 Teams (48 Points) at Spire Distance Carnival (3/20-21)
  • Broke three school records at Spire Distance Carnival
  • Placed third in 800m with mark of 2:16.54
    • Ranks second in GLVC
  • Landed second in 400m hurdles with time of 1:02.83
    • Ranks second in GLVC
  • Member of 4x400m relay team that finished second (3:59.79)
    • Ranks third in GLVC
  • Earns first-ever Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week Award for the Hawks

  • Recorded school-record toss of 50.25m (164’-10.25”) to win hammer throw
    • Broke previous record by three meters
  • Finished second in both shot put (14.76m, 48’-5”) and discus throw (41.47m, 136’-0.5”)
    • Smashed her own program-record mark (13.79m) in shot put
  • Ranks first in GLVC for all three events
    • Currently sits fourth in Division II for shot put
  • Earns first career Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week Award
