GLVC Softball Weekly Accolades Go to S&T, Drury

INDIANAPOLIS – Missouri S&T redshirt-junior shortstop Taylor Nelson and Drury junior pitcher Jordyn Foley were named Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions weekly award winners in softball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Major: Biomedical Engineering
Team Results: 14-0 W, 17-4 W vs. Upper Iowa (4/18) | 19-2 W, 9-2 W vs. Quincy (4/19)
  • Went 11-for-12 (.916) with four walks, recording a .938 on-base percentage
  • Smashed four homers and three doubles for a 2.167 slugging percentage
  • Drove in 12 runs and scored 14 herself
  • Reached base in every at-bat and tallied at least three RBIs in three of four games, including a 4-for-4 performance with three doubles in the first game against Quincy
  • Launched two homers in second contest versus Upper Iowa
  • Earns first career Player of the Week Award

  • Tossed 14 innings over two starts in the circle, giving up five hits and just one earned run
    • Picked up the win in both outings, improving her record to 11-8
  • Struck out 14 and walked two
  • Notched seventh no-hitter in program history in first game against Quincy, allowing two walks and punching out a career-high 11 batters
  • Tied for seventh in career wins at Drury with 21
  • Earns first career Pitcher of the Week Award
