Maryville, Rockhurst, Lewis Awarded Major GLVC Men’s Lacrosse Awards

INDIANAPOLIS – The Maryville duo of junior attacker Wyatt Robertson and senior long-stick midfielder John Chorlton, along with the Rockhurst quartet of senior specialist Carson Bradshaw, senior goalkeeper Brock Ollila, freshman defender Mitchell Halsted and mentor Kevin Kelley, as well as Lewis mentor Joe Perruzzi have all earned major postseason honors for the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men's Lacrosse season, the league office announced on Thursday.
 
Robertson was named Offensive Player of the Year, Chorlton earned Defensive Player of the Year, Bradshaw was selected as Specialist of the Year, Ollila garnered Goalkeeper of the Year, Halsted was tabbed Freshman of the Year, while Kelley and Perruzzi were voted Co-Coach of the Year by their peers. In total, 42 student-athletes claimed All-Conference honors, while six were chosen as GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship honorees for the sport and William Jewell was the team sportsmanship award winner. 

The All-Conference awards are nominated and voted on by league coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own players.

Offensive Player of the Year: Wyatt Robertson, Junior, Attacker, Maryville
  • Claims second Offensive Player of the Year laurel for Maryville.
    • First since Lucas Shafer in 2019.
  • Tied for first the league in five GLVC games for total points (21), third in total goals (15), fourth in goals per game (3.0), points (29), points per game (4.4), shots (37), and shots per game (7.4).
  • Paced conference in overall games for goals (44), goals per game (3.38), shots (119), and shots per game (9.15)
    • Finished fourth in points (51) and points per game (3.92).
  • Started all 13 games for the Saints.
  • Earns spot on All-GLVC First Team.
 
Defensive Player of the Year: John Chorlton, Senior, Long-Stick Midfielder, Maryville
  • Claims second-straight Defensive Player of the Year and becomes the first back-to-back winner.
  • Third in the league in GLVC contests for caused turnovers (8) and caused turnovers per game (1.6)
  • Finished third in the conference for overall caused turnovers (23) and fourth in caused turnovers per game (1.77)
  • Added five points on four goals and one assist for the season.
  • Started all 13 games for the Saints.
  • Named All-GLVC First Team for second straight season.
    • One of four unanimous All-GLVC First Team Selections
 
Specialist of the Year: Carson Bradshaw, Senior, Rockhurst
  • Claims second Specialist of the Year award for Rockhurst with the first won by Zach Bodeau in 2019.
  • Led the league in faceoff wins (76) in GLVC games, ground balls (49) and ground balls per game (9.8) and fourth in face-off win percentage (.667).
  • Led league in overall face-off wins (196) and grounds balls (107) and ground balls per game (8.23).
  • Added seven goals, three caused turnovers, and two assists for the year
  • Played all 15 games for the Flyers, starting 10.
  • Named to All-GLVC First Team for the first time after being named as Honorable Mention in 2024 and 2025.
    • One of four unanimous All-GLVC First Team Selections
 
Goalkeeper of the Year: Brock Ollila, Senior, Rockhurst
  • Garners second-straight Goalkeeper of the Year honor.
    • Third keeper to go back-to-back, joining Kyle Little from Montevallo in 2018-19, and Riah Rathe from Lewis in 2023-24.
  • Finished top of the league contests for goal allowed per game (7.57) and save percentage (.644)
    • Third in total saves (67) and saves per game (13.4)
  • Led the league in overall games for save percentage (.639)
    • Second in total saves (184) and saves per game (14.15)
  • Started all 14 games for the Hawks.
  • Named GLVC Defensive Player of the Week on Apr. 13.
  • Claims spot on All-GLVC First Team for the second straight season.
    • One of four unanimous All-GLVC First Team Selections

Freshman of the Year: Mitchell Halsted, Defender, Rockhurst
  • Claims third-straight Freshman of the Year honor for Rockhurst after Jonah McConnell won Co-Freshman of the Year in 2024 and Nolan Hartl won in 2025.
  • Was top-10 in GLVC matches for goals per game (1.60), points per game (2.40), and shots per game (6.40)
  • Caused four turnovers and scooped seven ground balls in five GLVC matches.
  • Had 11 caused turnovers and 19 ground balls in all 14 games played
  • Started all 14 matches for Rockhurst
  • Named to All-GLVC Second Team.
 
Co-Coach of the Year: Joe Perruzzi, Lewis
  • Secures second Coach of the Year accolade.
  • In his seventh season, led Lewis to an 11-3 overall record and 4-1 mark in GLVC action, earning a share of the Regular Season Championship and top seed in the GLVC Tournament.
  • Led team to top per-game averages in conference matches for goals (15.8), points (26.4), shots (47.6), and shots on goal (33.0).
  • Managed squad to league-best numbers in multiple categories for the entire season, including goals per game (16.14), assists per game (11.0), points per game (27.14), shots on goal per game (31.14), and penalty kill percentage (.707)
  • Ranked ninth in USILA Poll.
  • Guided 10 players to All-GLVC recognition, including three on the First Team and two on the Second Team.
 
Co-Coach of the Year: Kevin Kelley, Rockhurst
  • Secures second Coach of the Year accolade.
  • In his 13th season, led Rockhurst to an 10-4 overall record and 4-1 mark in GLVC action, earning a share of the Regular Season Championship and the third seed in the GLVC Tournament.
  • Led team to top per-game averages in conference matches for shooting percentage (.285), turnovers per game (14.8), faceoff percentage (.645), save percentage (.648), and goals against average (7.6).
  • Managed squad to league-best numbers in multiple categories for the entire season, including shooting percentage (.310), man-up scoring percentage (.535), turnovers per game (14.86), save percentage (.632), and goals against average (8.35).
  • Guided Bradshaw, Ollila and Halsted to major honors, as well as 10 players to All-GLVC recognition, including five on the First Team with Bradshaw, Ollila, and Avery Moody also being selected unanimously.
 
Rockhurst led all league programs with five first-team choices, while Lewis and Maryville closely followed with four selections. Indianapolis had one player appear on the First Team.
 
The league also recognized William Jewell as its GLVC Men's Lacrosse James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award team recipient, as well as six student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced in May.
