2004-2005 GLVC All-Conference Selections
University of Indianapolis senior point guard David Logan was unanimously selected as the 2004-05 Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year by the league's 11 coaches. Logan leads the conference, as well as the nation, in scoring with a 29-point scoring average. His efforts have helped the Greyhounds to a 19-8 (14-6 GLVC) record and Indianapolis' highest GLVC tournament seed ever (3rd). Logan is a finalist for the 2005 Bob Cousy "Point Guard of the Year" Award and was one of only 64 seniors in all NCAA divisions to receive an invitation to the NBA Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.
SIU Edwardsville head coach Marty Simmons was named the GLVC "Coach of the Year" after he led the #21 Cougars to a 22-7 (15-5 GLVC) record, good enough to keep the team ranked in the NABC/Division II men's basketball poll for nine consecutive weeks. Rookie guard J.B. Jones earned the GLVC "Freshman of the Year" award.
This year's All-GLVC team consists of honorable mention, second, and first team honors.
